It was a real surprise this morning to wake up to a new Nameberry. She looks very pretty in her new colours. However, I think that the font on the home page that is not in bold should be and the section that refers to the message boards should be headed up with a title something like Nameberry Community Message Boards so that it is easily found. If I had not been a seasoned nameberryite I would have been foundering trying to work out where the message centre for Nameberry was hiding.
I love it. Now to wait for all the bugs to be fixed. Lol.
I like the feature that shows which names are being searched the most on a certain day, and also the chart showing how popular a name has been in the U.S. over time. However, the make-over is very confusing, and I think I would be a lot happier with the old lay-out. Also, the colors and designs of the new look aren’t very engaging; there aren’t a lot of bright, warm colors anymore.

We’re working on smoothing out final bugs (can you smoothe a bug? well, zapping them) so please do let us know what you find that isn’t working or is confusing…

Yes, it was a surprise, wasn’t it [name]Rollo[/name]! It seems to be faster but I’m not too crazy about all of the pastel polka dots all over the place. They give me a headache! Two or three rows would suffice!
[name]Remember[/name] how back in the day when you searched for a name with an entry for both genders it logged it as a visit for the boy’s version, even if you clicked for the girl one? Now it’s doing the opposite, logging it for the girl’s one even if you click on the blue one (I can tell by the running log of recently searched names at the top of Nameberry’s home page). I thought I’d point this out in case you’re using this to keep track of the most searched names (otherwise names like [name]Aidan[/name] and [name]James[/name] may rank artificially high for girls).
I am loving the new Font & Colors!! On the message board, it might be nice to have the “Board Index” link at the top of the pages stand out more (like it used to), but overall the site is not only prettier, but clearer and easier to read! Nice changes!!
P.S. I am already getting used to the smaller “Board Index” link, so it’s okay for me.
We’re going to be working on the message boards next and hopefully we can get the name linking working again plus create other great new features.
Meanwhile, we’ll look into the message board finding issue and also, namefan, the girl name/boy name issue. [name]Both[/name] genders now appear on the same page but I hear you about how the pink is what’s “registering” on the ticker and the popularity cloud.
Please help! My saved lists are no longer showing up! I don’t have backup copies so I’m freaking out!
Ahhh, I’m really sorry to seem like the only negative one, but I’m a little upset about the new Nameberry. it seems more cluttered to me, and I much preferred the old pink/purple colors. The old one was more attractive and easy to use imo. any chance that this is just a temporary change?

I could find mine if I clicked “Create a List” but it’s hardly a solution–just gives me blank lists I need to delete.
Also, I could be just missing it, but how do I add a name to a list now?
I like the changes in general, but the font size in the message boards is now so HUGE that I feel like I have to lean back from my computer to read!
Perhaps I’m just missing something but I can’t figure out to search within a thread anymore. Or how to search within a folder…
Yellow: if the font is too large on the forums, try pressing your control key and then use the scroll wheel on your mouse to scroll down - it should reduce the font size. You can also scroll up to increase font size.
Personally, I [name]LOVE[/name] the new larger font in the forums. Much easier to read!
That doesn’t work on my browser/os, but another fix does. Unfortunately, then all the text on other sites I visit is itty bitty! 
I’m in the far-sighted minority that prefers small font, so I 'm willing to concede that what works for me is not the ideal for most!!
I agree with people complaining that there is no ‘Save to list’ on the new names page. I’ve just been rating them so they show up under my ratings, but I can’t group them now. In short, could the ‘save to list’ function please be brought back?
I do like it a lot, except the font on the forum is too big. Is there anyway to make it smaller?
