… or so it seems. We’re looking for something unique but not too popular. My first choices would probably be [name]Violet[/name] (too popular?), [name]Felicity[/name] (too much of a mouthful?), and [name]Autumn[/name] or [name]Summer[/name] (don’t work with our last name Mermer?). So we’re stuck. Our DS is [name]Julian[/name] and we feel it’s just perfect, but we are unable to come up with one that feels like that this time.
I think that [name]Julian[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] sound great together! If you’re worried about popularity maybe you could use [name]Viola[/name] instead?
Hmm…here are some initial thoughts:
[name]Violet[/name] may be too popular considering that you want something more unusual.
[name]Felicity[/name] is definitely a mouthful, but I still love it and think it goes well with your last name!
Ideas:
[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Verity[/name] ([name]Violet[/name] & [name]Felicity[/name]…best of both worlds?)
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Linnea[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] this with your last name!)
Hmmm, I do like both [name]Verity[/name] and [name]Linnea[/name]. [name]Will[/name] have to run them by DH. Thanks.
Hm, word names and refreshed vintage choices both go nicely with [name]Julian[/name]. I am sure the right name is out there.
[name]Do[/name] you feel that [name]Julian[/name] is too popular? Have you met many other little Julians? [name]Julian[/name] is ranked in the USA at #49. [name]Violet[/name] is only ranked at #101. Unless you feel barraged by little neighbors or friends of [name]Julian[/name]'s named [name]Violet[/name], I wouldn’t worry about the popularity if [name]Julian[/name]'s doesn’t bother you either. [name]Violet[/name] Mermer is [name]LOVELY[/name]. And the pair would be so sweet! I also don’t think that [name]Felicity[/name] is too much of a mouthful. [name]Felicity[/name] Mermer is gorgeous; it goes nicely with [name]Julian[/name] and has plenty of nice nicknames to help with the length: Flicka, Fliss, [name]Lissie[/name], even [name]Ellie[/name]. (Would you mind it being shortened, though? Because that does seem likely.) I agree with you that [name]Autumn[/name] and [name]Summer[/name] sound off with Mermer.

Thanks ellenelle. I’ve been looking at the popularity in my state instead of the country. [name]Just[/name] seems a little more accurate. Here, [name]Julian[/name] isn’t even on the list (I’ve never met another) and [name]Violet[/name] is quite a bit higher than 101. I do still love it and might still use it. I’m just concerned she’d end up [name]Violet[/name] #3 or [name]Violet[/name] M. in class. I don’t mind the shortened versions of [name]Felicity[/name] so thats definitely still on the table too.
[name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] are great names. [name]Autumn[/name] and [name]Summer[/name] seem dated to me. If you like [name]Linnea[/name], what about [name]Luella[/name]?
Other names:
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Linden[/name] ( maybe with a frilly middle?)
[name]How[/name] about [name]Viola[/name] or [name]Vivia[/name]?
[name]Violet[/name]- I definitely don’t think it’s too popular. [name]Violet[/name] is pretty, gives a nice image, and sounds very feminine. Sounds good with the last name.
[name]Felicity[/name]- Definitely not a mouthful. Has a wonderful meaning. It’s all around adorable. [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Autumn[/name]- I like this one as well. I think it sounds just fine with your last name.
[name]Summer[/name]- This one doesn’t sound good with your last name.
Thanks everyone. I guess for now ill keep violet and felicity at the top of the list.
