Hello!
Last time I posted, I was called a troll so hopefully I have better luck this time around. I am currently expecting and in search of the perfect name of my little mini-me baking in the oven. Situations (referring to the man I called my future DH) have changed since that last post and it will be just me, myself, and I and maybe the queen’s (my mother) deciding what best suits my mini-me. I tend to like this situation better since there’s more room for my choice in names.
I was wanting to break up the genders and post a girl’s forum and a boy’s forum to make things short and simple.
With all that cleared up and with your trust of me NOT BEING A TROLL, I will like to continue my quest of finding my mini-me’s perfect name. 
With this post, I want you to be blunt and tell me exactly how you feel about my names. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t sugar coat it. This child will live with his or her name the rest of his or her life. I want it to be appropriate and well… Perfect.
My ULTIMATE Favorites: [name_f]Esperance[/name_f], [name_u]Dagny[/name_u], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Isis[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
HOWEVER, I have other names that I’m sweet on too.

I would really like a top ten from my list from you with a description why you like it. I’m having a really difficult time choosing between my ultimates and my other short list. Any help is appreciated!

I think [name_f]Isis[/name_f] and [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] are beautiful mythology names, and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] both seem like wonderful princesses (and the second has one of my all-time favorite nicknames - [name_f]Amy[/name_f]!). However, I think my favorite is [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]/[name_u]Story[/name_u]. [name_u]Story[/name_u] is a newer, cool, word-name, while she would have the lovely [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] to fall back on for formal occasions. I wish you luck!

[name_f]Esperance[/name_f]- not a huge fan. I’ve heard of [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] but not [name_f]Esperance[/name_f].
[name_u]Dagny[/name_u]- really cute, but not totally in love with this
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]- pretty but not striking
[name_f]Isis[/name_f]- meh. I know people [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] this, but I knew a girl named [name_f]Isis[/name_f] once and it spoiled the name for me
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u]- sounds like a fruity tropical drink to me. I know it’s greek. I prefer [name_f]Callista[/name_f]/[name_f]Callisto[/name_f] personally

Daylin-- really not a fan, possibly in large part due to the spelling. I’m not a big fan of most “lin/lyn” names though. It makes me think of Daytona [name_m]Beach[/name_m]-- and not in a good way.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]- cute, but soooo popular/overused in the past few years
Photini- this isn’t so much a girl’s name but the name of a magician (The Great Photini!) or type of pasta
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]- very cool but possibly difficult to grow up with.
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]- meh. it’s a little old-lady-ish for me. but pretty and classic.
Xana- loving it… but I prefer [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] as a full name (if you want something unusual) or [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (if you want something normal)
[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f]- meh. I see Amethest as the first part of a stripper name. Sorry to sound so harsh.
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] nn [name_u]Story[/name_u]-- love. It’s different but still sounds classy to me.
[name_f]Amaris[/name_f]- I really like this, but I think I could also be thinking of [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] or [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]

- [name_f]Eva[/name_f] - short and sweet with a lot of possibilities
- [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - great name! What do you think of [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]?
- Photini - I love her story (she was the woman at the well in the Bible)
- [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] - like it, but not as big a fan of [name_u]Story[/name_u]
- [name_f]Amaris[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Carys[/name_f]
- [name_f]Isis[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Esperance[/name_f] - wouldn’t mind it as a middle. In fact, something like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Esperance[/name_f] might be rather nice.
[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] - sounds lovely but does risk sounding strippery. It’s a shame, but I wouldn’t use it as anything but a middle.
[name_u]Dagny[/name_u] - doesn’t sound great when I say it
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u] and [name_f]Circe[/name_f] - OK, I just really despised The Odyssey
Daylin - this doesn’t sound as classy as most of the others you like, what calls you to it? I’m not a fan.
Xana - the xana were a race of fairies that stole women’s babies and exchanged them for changelings. Yikes.
