Left it too late to edit but playing with double middles in an attempt to cut down my list. Which do you like? [name_f]Do[/name_f] they work? Any suggestions?
Iād switch the order to [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], from there I would think about maybe switching [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] if the similar -aeve [name_u]Evan[/name_u]- sounds bother you, but I donāt think itās necessary.
Usually Iād go for [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] over [name_m]Heath[/name_m] but I find [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] a bit too romantic / Mr. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]-ish. [name_m]Heath[/name_m] makes me think of [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_m]Ledger[/name_m] and 10 Things I Hate About You, so also romantic but a little more approachable in this combo. The names do run into each other a little though, both being short and sharing the prominent -ee- sound.
either hyphenated or completely together, depending on the name⦠for example; I like [name_f]Maryann[/name_f] completely together but I like [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] with a hyphen.
Any of the above, with [name_u]Anne[/name_u]-[name_u]Marie[/name_u] I probably prefer hyphenated. However Annarose, [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Marybeth[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], I would write like this.
i want to say they should and can be all three!! i love double barreled names from Maelily , Marygrace, and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]-[name_f]Lily[/name_f] to [name_u]Noa[/name_u] [name_f]Liora[/name_f] & [name_f]Atta[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f]!
Looking for a Top Ten of these forty little boys! (For a story)
(This particular story has a very diverse cast, so many of the names are odd-soundingā Iāve put pronunciation for some!)
Please choose five, based solely on sound!
I think it depends. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you always want both names to be said by everyone? Then Iād go for a hyphenated name (unless itās already an established name, e.g. [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], I wouldnāt use a ācompletely togetherā spelling simply because I donāt like the look of them).
Personally I really like the idea of completely apart names the most, in the family they can be [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], etc. but in school they can also just drop the second name if itās too much for them (without having to include it on every test, etc.).
With this example, I prefer [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f]. But if itās something like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I prefer them separate. I donāt like hyphens in names.
So I recently found my old notebook filled with my old combos! I made all of these combos before I made an account and probably before I discovered the forums, just plain ol me making combos by myself. A lot of these were the beginning of combos I have now or even had in my UC at some point! Which ones are you favorites?
