If you’re willing to @ me and elaborate on the qualities you look for in a name, I’d greatly appreciate it!

@firefly305: Sound is my top priority in a name (including flow in a combo), but I also look for spelling and timelessness.

well it obviously depends on the definition of “romance”, but for me, the most important part of a name is the vibe. even if a name is perfect on paper, if it doesn’t inspire some level of flourishing imagery or just feel, it doesn’t work for me. i would say this counts for romance.

I’d like an extra vote for [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] please! I was torn between her and [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f].

@firefly305 What I look for in a name is a nice sound to my ears that has strong imagery. Using my son’s name as an example, I love how short and snappy it is but there’s a whole woodland forest attached to it that is very beautiful and elaborate! I guess this would be some people’s version of ‘romance’. I don’t think I can define that concept very well to myself. I think of [name_m]Romaric[/name_m] as a ‘romantic’ name, and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]. So I seem to have a very narrow and stereotypical idea of it!!
I’d love to hear what it means to you?
