I just don’t like it for either gender really. I also have a male friend with that name so it’s what I think of.
I think they go decent together, I’m just not a super big fan of Jaimes (it just looks like James misspelled to me) so it kinda messes with my whole view of it
Jaimes reminds me of a story I was told. A woman wanted to name her son James, but she really only spoke Spanish, so instead of naming him James and just pronouncing it -jayms- or naming him Santiago, she named him James and has everyone pronounce it hah-mehs. Like hummus
out of curiosity: if I’m in a field where I sometimes/often talk about/work with bacterial flora - would that make Flora an odd choice?

So my name it [name_f]Tamara[/name_f] pronounced “tuh-MAIR-uh” and I constantly get it pronounced different ways even after I tell them because they knew or heard someone who said it differently. I also think of it as being the same for [name_f]Tamera[/name_f] because of [name_f]Tia[/name_f] and [name_f]Tamera[/name_f], I will sometimes say “it’s pronounced tuh-Mair-uh” like [name_f]Tia[/name_f] and Tamera" to help people remember.
