A couple of unrelated questions:

How do you pronounce Adri?
  • AY-dree (like the beginning of Adrianne)
  • AW-dree (like Audrey)

Adri is from Fredrik Backman’s Beartown, which was originally written in Swedish.

Does Tess Ocean remind you of Ocean’s 11, and is it usable?
  • I noticed the connection right away.
  • I noticed it now that you mention it.
  • I didn’t know her name.
  • Yes, it’s usable.
  • No, it’s unusable.

[name_f]Nataliya[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is just :sparkles: :heart_eyes:

@bemiranda I voted for [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], but I also really love [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], & [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@readingreverie I understand it depends on where you live obviously, but [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] definitely doesn’t feel anywhere near popular to me! It’s not used a lot where I am (northeast US). I haven’t ever even met an [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (besides maybe like a friend’s grandparent or something!).

@Poppyseeds20 [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u] is SO adorable!!!

@w8src [name_f]Eda[/name_f] would be edd-uh or ee-duh! [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is eh-vuh, and then ee-vuh (though I also really like the ay-vuh pronunciation!)

@BronwynParry1 oh my god, sweet [name_u]Alden[/name_u] with my beloved Lothiriel!!! also Lothiriel on a boy??? I’m in love :sob::heart:

@halinka oh my gosh, so many stunning combos!! absolutely swooning over [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] [name_u]Juno[/name_u], [name_f]Greta[/name_f] Bluebird, [name_u]Beck[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Shoshana[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Thallo[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f], and [name_u]Auden[/name_u] Jupiter!!!

@fiddlesticks I think all of them 100% work!! I just voted based on whether I liked the names or not :sweat_smile:

@firefly305 voted for [name_u]Owen[/name_u], but I also love [name_m]Ewan[/name_m] a bunch, too!!!

I’d say AH-dree, a very open vowel (like Ana) upon first seeing [name_u]Adri[/name_u]. I’ve known one that said it this way, short for [name_f]Adriana[/name_f].

(This may be what you intended by suggesting it’s similar to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], but my accent has a strong ā€œaweā€ sound so I don’t pronounce them the same way!)

This is how I feel as well! I live in northeastern US (actually more the midwest, but very close to it lol!) and I don’t think I’ve ever met an Eleanor!

The meaning is super cute :heart_eyes:

Add-ree which to me is the beginning of Adrienne/Adriana/Adrianne etc.

I like Seren on it’s own but doesn’t flow well with Arian and it also sounds like avariation of aryan. Maybe Aria or Ayla?

It is pronounced differently to [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] :slight_smile: it’s like a-rhian
