Totally. We call our Roland “Rollie” a lot. And then we have a Linus…. So idk it just gets confusing on which way we want to go with the next child (if there is one!)
[name_u]Jodie[/name_u] seems like more of a style outlier in your sibling set overall since its usage is later. I don’t love that both names end in a ‘dee’ sound and have the same syllable stress but they are both spirited names.
They’re definitely not too similar to be siblings but I’d choose something else if there were other names I loved equally.
For a boy one of my favorites for a long time was [name_m]Lucius[/name_m] nn Lucy/Luce. I also know an [name_f]Iluminada[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. For a girl some of my favorites would be [name_f]Lucía[/name_f], [name_u]Lucero[/name_u], [name_f]Lucasta[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f]
@fiddlesticks I am loving the idea of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] on a boy. [name_f]Arora[/name_f] is a fairly common surname where I live, so the sound feels more gender neutral to me. [name_u]Truly[/name_u] inspired.
@shorie, the shared “dee” ending makes them too close for me, but I wouldn’t mind another “ee” ending with [name_f]Trudy[/name_f].
