Iâm fairly picky when it comes to boy names, even more-so when it comes to double-barrel boy names. However, I have found two particular names that I like and I canât decide which order I like for a double-barrel arrangement. So, which one?
Briggitte feels more modern next to the other three, but not glaringly so
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] with the cuh-meel pronunciation feels out of place in a [name_m]French[/name_m] set
@Lily_Anarchkitty I said maybe but my hestitaion is less because of the meaning and more because I intially misread it as something along the lines of Thesaurus or Tyrannosaurus, somehow my brain rearranged the ending letters and I wonder if thatâs a mistake otherâs might make too.
@SeizeToday I voted for [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] but I do think the meaning behind [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is enough. To me, honors are about the thought behind it so if the name makes you think of that person it honors them. I actually feel like abstract honors like this are more meaningful because the stories behind them are always so sweet and personal.
so none of those are like technically the French pronunciations but French pronunciations are notoriously difficult to write (especially since the emphasis is different than in English)
it wouldnât even cross my mind that shepherd may be because the parent(s) were religious! i just think of it as another on-trend vaguely naturey or occupational name like wilder, river, hunter or archer
Thatâs so interesting because to me [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] feels rather old next to the others and, from a non-French perspective I can see the others as appearing chic whereas [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] feels more like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], and therefore a bit dated.
@BeeEl Iâd say ka-MEE for [name_f]Camille[/name_f].
