[name_f]My[/name_f] response is entirely based on the fact that’s what one of my grandfathers went by (like pops, granny, nana, gramps, ect.), and I have never known a person with the name so I just cannot wrap my head around it as an actual name
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] is also the name of the Evil [name_f]Queen[/name_f] who’s more of an antihero or a reformed rogue in the show, Once Upon a Time.
Do you think Jemima could work as an honor name for Jim? Not sure we would use it as a first name, possibly a middle. My dad is Jim (technically Jimmy but only his mother ever called him that) and my husband’s step-dad and his step-dad’s dad are also Jim. So we have 3 dads named Jim in our life.
I personally don’t see [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] as an honor name for [name_m]Jim[/name_m]. What about [name_f]Jamie[/name_f] or [name_f]Jamila[/name_f]? (Although those are stretchy too)
[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], although I’d like it more as [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] because – and this is super nitpicky, I know – to me, “Emmy Jean” sounds quite similar to “Imogen” or “imagine” when said out loud
I did a thread for Olympic name sightings.
The Paralympics are almost over but I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in me making a post with all of the unique and favorite names I’ve recorded so you can tell me your favorites from my sightings + your favorites from the Paralympics athlete online roster? Or is everybody exhausted from the Olympics? I know that not as many people watch the Paralympics so I was hesitant to make a thread for shared sightings
It would take a while to put together so just seeing if anyone would actually be interested!
