they’re too matchy imo
@billie_154[name_f][/name_f] they are[name_f][/name_f] matchy and yet I love them together
similarly to @persephonescrown[name_f][/name_f] I think that they are matchy and have a nature theme. But it’s not overkill, I like them together. It just could be a conundrum with a third sibling – whether to continue it or not.
You having [name_m]Irish[/name_m] ancestry is more than enough. [name_f]Sincerely[/name_f], an American of [name_m]Irish[/name_m] descent.

Favorite?
I’ve been loving southern sounding names lately
Very matchy to me in terms of being both nature and color names, but I do also like them together and think they work very well!
This makes me feel so much better [name_f][/name_f] thanks so much for your reply!
Really could go either way, but I say boy because I have personally seen far more historical examples of men with more feminine middle names than women with more masculine first names.
I may be overthinking this for myself, but how usable is Jesper in light of the character of the same name from Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse series?
- Entirely usable, no worries
- Usable enough
- Ehh… I guess if you want to, but the association is a little much
- Not very usable really
I do admittedly love him as a character, but not to an extent that I would want to actively name a child after him.
(sorry Jes, my beloved )
Also, how usable is Hezekiah? I love the meaning and nickname options, I just fear that it sounds like a little much?
- It’s totally usable, you’re fine
- It’s only usable if you’re religious
- It’s usable but it’s brave
- It’s not really usable
I don’t know the series you’re referring to – I actually know a young adult [name_m]Jesper[/name_m] (pronounced YES-per) and I know he gets misspellings/mispronunciations, but I do think its a cool name and wearable. But maybe the series is more well-known and I’m just out of the loop
how do you say Maxime?

- another way?
Berries with children…
When it came time to actually name your child(ren), did you find that the names you seriously considered/used were a little more grounded than some of the ones you loved in theory (names that felt bolder, more whimsical, or outside your usual style)?
I’m not expecting, or anything close to, just curious!
- Yes, definitely
- Somewhat
- Not really
- Nope, I went with the “in theory” ones!
which one(s) do you prefer?
- sarah lior
- elisabeta lior
- elisabetta lior
Some middles are family names, others are random. Some are a bit “guilty pleasure” and maybe not-so-practical.
Trying to find a sweet spot between uncommon but still practical and wearable. We have a W-a-r-r-e-n (family names, but has gained so much popularity!) and a C-l-y-d-e. So for some like Samson, I worry that it would feel too popular or common with how popular Samuel/Sam is.

I have cousins and other relatives called [name_m]Hezekiah[/name_m], [name_m]Jessekiah[/name_m], [name_m]Berakhiah[/name_m], and [name_m]Zedekiah[/name_m], none of whom have particularly religious parents, so I think it’s totally usable!!
