I think I’d be more likely to make the association if it was a child with lesbian parents, yes. but in the same way that I’d notice if any pair of queer/lgbtq+ parents had children named [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m], [name_f]Marsha[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Storme[/name_f], [name_u]Baker[/name_u], etc. I wouldn’t necessarily think they were named after that person, I’d just be curious if they were influenced by them. I don’t think it would impact the child at all though, there are so many Ellens that I doubt anyone would be like, “oh, were you named after [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] DeGeneres?” or something!!

I hope these aren’t too confusing! feel free to @ me if you want to explain further or anything!!
thank you!
I’d still say it see-see just cause it still sounds like a legit nn for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] even though it’s a different E sound, my cousin Xiomara’s (syo-mada) nickname is [name_f]Cece[/name_f], so the see-see pron. being a nickname for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] still sounds completely natural to me
Something about [name_m]Inocencio[/name_m] is so dreamy… I love it so much. Feels completely unusable where I live, but it’s going straight on the GP list!
I’d love it if it weren’t literally “innocence” I love the way it sounds though, glad you like it!
I think that’s one of the reasons I like it… It just feels so pure and sweet! Definitely wouldn’t work nowadays though. I agree, such a beautiful sound.

I also do agree that [name_f]Cece[/name_f] could definitely be a nickname for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], I just really love Ceci (ses-see)!!

To explain my vote, it just makes me wonder why? If you’re gonna use the nickname [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u], then using [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] as a first name doesn’t make sense to me because it doesn’t really matter if you maybe prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] to [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], you’re not using either, you’re using [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u].
Don’t care about how usable the diacritic is, since this is only for my list
