This is a fun one! The first person starts with red and passes it on to the next person, as you work your way through the rainbow: [name]Red[/name], [name]Orange[/name], Yellow, [name]Green[/name], [name]Blue[/name], [name]Indigo[/name], [name]Violet[/name]. When someone gets to violet, the next person starts up again with red.
To play, come up with a name that in your mind either 1) has an etymological connection to the color, or more loosely 2) reminds you in some way of the color.
Example:
[name]Red[/name]; [name]Roxy[/name]
[name]Roxy[/name] reminds me of red because it’s such an active, dynamic sounding name.
Then, the next person picks up the chain with [name]Orange[/name].
I don’t know why, but when I think of [name]Indigo[/name], I think of a rainy day, and [name]Monday[/name] is a ‘rainy’ sort of name to me I guess. (Thats why I like it )
[name]Indigo[/name] always makes me think of the plantation farms back in the day, and I recently watched The Autobiography of [name]Jane[/name] Pittman who was a slave.
