The Sims Thread

[name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the [name_m]Sims[/name_m] Thread, made just for discussing sims’ names. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to use this space for asking questions, making polls, and talking about the names you’ve chosen.

To start it off, my current family will be having their third child soon, any ideas for a sibling to brothers [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_u]Leland[/name_u]?

Forum placement

I wasn’t sure which forum category was most appropriate for this. It is not technically a game, but it is for a game, and the baby names forum seems to be for more serious naming.

I like [name_m]Vince[/name_m] with [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_u]Leland[/name_u], and for a girl… I quite like [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/Rosie!

@VanillaMoff - I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is great! I also think [name_f]Celina[/name_f] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] could have a…
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] (!!)
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]

What are your favourite C names for my 100 baby challenge? I’m not really bothered about matching with siblings, but I already have [name_f]Ashlee[/name_f], [name_u]Axel[/name_u], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_u]Braxton[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] (b), [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] (g), and [name_f]Briella[/name_f]. Ideas?

It was today that I realised I dont have many ‘c’ names that I like!
However, I do have… [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] & [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] for girls, and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] & [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] for boys. I think im going to go hunt down some for c names!

The first baby was born before anyone replied, but I actually ended up calling him [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]! He definitely needs a sister called [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] too :slightly_smiling_face:

Which matches best with these 100 baby challenge siblings - [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Bentley[/name_u], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_u]Dallas[/name_u], [name_m]Ewan[/name_m], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Geneva[/name_f], [name_u]Hayden[/name_u], [name_m]Ivo[/name_m], [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Megan[/name_f], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Oliver[/name_u]

Those names all feel a bit more on the traditional side, and I consider [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] pretty recent. I think [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], nickname Prim, is perfect!

see i would personally say that poppy is more traditional than primrose (maybe that’s just from a british perspective cause it’s super popular here)

Ahh, I’m from [name_u]America[/name_u] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] isn’t popular here, so that’s probably it! [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] are both lovely names, either way

yeh poppy is one of those names that’s like super popular here and barely heard in the states :joy: I love them both too!

Anyone have suggestions for a sister to [name_f]Alice[/name_f]? Trying to aim for “regal” sounding names, if she has a brother he’ll be [name_m]Felix[/name_m].

Also anyone give their sims middle names? I’ve been having fun with “honouring” their family members

maybe…
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_u]Emilia[/name_u]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriett[/name_f]

also yes!! i always give my sims middles :joy:

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone. I’ve been gone so long but I’m back and still on my 100 baby challenge and in need of some names beginning with X.

So I present a challenge - to come up with some nature inspired names beginning with X.

They can be inspired by plants, flora, animals, water, food, colours, anything in nature really. They can ever be creative spellings of other names (e.g. Xanna from [name_f]Zanna[/name_f] meaning lily).

Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:

Cool idea!

xannie - (from zannie - ‘lily’)

Can’t believe I missed this thread!

[name_f]Xochitl[/name_f] - flower
Xiadani - (possibly) the flower that arrived
Xun - (possibly) snow
Xeru - from [name_m]Zeru[/name_m], sky
Xinnia - from the zinnia flower
