I am finding myself drawn to [name_u]Winter[/name_u] middle names for my [name_u]Winter[/name_u] baby. Most of the obvious ones do not work for us.
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] - love this but we already have an [name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_f]Snow[/name_f] - love this also in the middle spot but it doesn’t work with our LN
[name_u]Frost[/name_u] - I like this but would prefer a multi-syllable middle name
I recently came across Iverine on here, which I like as it fits with our Norwegian heritage, and although it doesn’t actually mean anything about [name_u]Winter[/name_u], it reminds me of the [name_m]French[/name_m] word for [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (hiver). Looking for some more “off the beaten path” [name_u]Winter[/name_u] names like this.
Lumi- Finnish word for snow

Snö- Swedish word for snow (just kidding:))

Though probably more of a christmas name, [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] has been used in the British [name_m]Royal[/name_m] Family for [name_f]Alice[/name_f], the Duchess of Gloucester, and [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] of [name_m]Kent[/name_m] who both were born on the 25th of [name_u]December[/name_u], so it’s very much a wintery name to a royalist like myself.
If I have a child in the winter, I would love to do a winter middle name too. Here are some of the one’s I could think of.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
Chione/Khione- (key-own-ee) the Greek word for snow
[name_f]Emanuelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Emanuella[/name_f]
[name_f]Nicole[/name_f]/[name_f]Colette[/name_f]- any variation of [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m] (St. [name_u]Nick[/name_u])
[name_f]Holly[/name_f]
[name_f]Eira[/name_f]
and I’ve always associated Clara with the winter too, because of the Nutcracker ballet.
I love [name_f]Eira[/name_f]. I also know a little girl who was born on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] and her middle name is [name_m]Nollaig[/name_m], which I believe is [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] in Gaelic.
I’m loving [name_u]Winter[/name_u] lately. I had it on my list for several years and it’s one of those that I like more and more the more I hear or see it. I agree [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] might be too matchy, but who cares? Only your opinion matters
Other names with the [name_u]Winter[/name_u] feel in my opinion
sorry for any repeats
