[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] had the biggest rise in popularity— she’s the sole name on this year’s top 10 to have gotten only one vote in 2020

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are tied for the largest fall in popularity, with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] being the only name on 2020’s top 10 to have just one vote this year

some other interesting things I found…

[name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] perfectly swapped places, with [name_u]June[/name_u] getting 8 votes in 2020 and 3 votes this year, and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] getting 3 votes in 2020 and 8 votes this year! Both came in at #3 on their respective lists

4 names from both this year’s and 2020’s top 10 fall into the top 100 of 2021 for the U.S.

3 names from the top 10 of Nameberry’s most visited names (of 2022) did not get a single vote: [name_u]Luxury[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], & [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

I can’t believe Violet is number one! She seems so divisive to me!

I was a little surprised at a few of these, I did not expect [name_f]Violet[/name_f] to get the top spot and there were a lot I’d view as favorites on here that I thought for sure would be in the top 10 or at least runners up but weren’t (Helen, [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], etc.). To be fair, I’ve only been here for a couple months and don’t know enough to say for certain what most people’s tastes are but it was still a bit unexpected!

Thanks for doing this, it was really interesting. I too hope you do one for boys names as well!

Thank you for doing this! Very interesting! I was expecting [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] to place, I’m kind of surprised it didn’t because it seems to be a Nameberry favorite. I was also guessing [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would place, and they did. Kind of cool how much the names changed! Overall, I think we have really good taste!
