The Trouble with

Looks awfully like I’m getting cold feet about our choices. I’m probably overthinking it, but my old favorites kind of seem to have lost their charm, and my husband’s friend has just used [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] for his son’s middle name, which makes [name_m]Buzz[/name_m] much less special. Uh oh…

Anyway, husband suggested [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] the other day, and I’m sort of loving him. I must have been overlooking him the whole time because he is just so “us” - unusual but not silly, distinctive yet familiar, literary and historical…I’m a diehard [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] fan, so I love the connection to A Midsummer [name_m]Night[/name_m]'s [name_u]Dream[/name_u]. His [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is such a knight in shining armor!

So what do we think? His siblings are [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m], and I’m thinking [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] and [name_f]Lys[/name_f] for nicknames. Most troubling is the lack of Y in [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] (as opposed to [name_m]EndYmion[/name_m] and [name_m]LYsander[/name_m]), but I’m probably being waaaay too picky.

P.S. [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] makes me think of Scamander, but that would be crazy, right?

I think it fits

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m]*is great! Go for it!

Another vote for [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]. It is wonderful, on its own and with your sibset.

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is definitely a distinctive choice. Since you’re a [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] buff (yay!) what about [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] as an option?

[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], [name_m]Endymion[/name_m], and [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], and [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]

I think it works perfectly with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]!! It’s distinguished, uncommon but not too out there! It’s perfect!!

Awesome name with the same vibe as your other beautifully named children.

Cornelia and Lysander both contain the letters A and R while Endymion does not. I wouldn’t worry about the Y.

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is stunning with your sibset! Simply perfect

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is great, and works well with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] & [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] (I do think the Y thing’s a little too nitpicky). I love [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] as nickname too - how lovely!

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] does seem soooooooo you! I kind of like that the y would be a little something linking the brother’s names without being overly matchy or themey.

I love [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], especially with your other kiddos. [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] not having a Y is no big deal, wouldn’t have noticed if it wasn’t pointed out.

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is amazing!! It’s one of my favourites - I love the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] connection and the sounds! [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] is a great nickname option.

As for the y in [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] but not in [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], I don’t think it’s a problem. It would be different maybe if the y in [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] had the same sound as the Y in [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] but as it is, I don’t think it’s noticeable

I really like [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] with your kids’ names.

I love it! It fits perfectly with the sibset
