1. My name is [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I had mixed feelings about my name growing up and often wished for a name that wasn’t so formal and girly. However, I always appreciated the fact that I was the only [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] in my class and I loved my family’s nickname for me (Fliss) and my friends’ nickname for me ([name_f]Flick[/name_f]). I thought [name_f]Jane[/name_f] was a little boring in the middle, particularly as there was no special meaning or story behind it. However, I couldn’t think of a more perfect middle name for [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] now. I love my name now and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Dad exercised his veto and voila, I was named [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] instead. Juliff is what my real surname should be. When a family member was investigating our ancestry, we discovered that my great-grandfather is not my real great-grandfather and our surname should be Juliff.

10. They have to order Starbucks every day for a week and tell the barista behind the counter that their name is whatever they are considering for their child. If they’re not embarrassed, or frustrated by spelling/pronunciation issues by the end of the week, then by all means go ahead and use the name.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] was my grandmother’s name and I would love to use it in the middle, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is so overdone in the middle I just couldn’t bring myself to use it.

[name_u]Kingsley[/name_u] after my OHs grandfather, [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_u]James[/name_u] after my brother, [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. I can’t imagine using [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u] because of the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] connection and it’s similarity to girls names like [name_f]Kinsey[/name_f]/[name_f]Kinsley[/name_f]. And as much as I love [name_u]James[/name_u], I just find it a little ho-hum in the middle spot. It’s the boys equivalent of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (or [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] when I was growing up).

I would rename [name_u]Reign[/name_u] [name_m]Aston[/name_m] Disick, because it was such a disappointing choice after [name_f]Kourtney[/name_f] named her first children [name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_u]Dash[/name_u] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]. I would make a small change by moving [name_m]Aston[/name_m] to the first name spot and changing it to the up-and-coming name [name_m]Asher[/name_m]. And I would change the spelling of [name_u]Reign[/name_u] to [name_u]Rain[/name_u]. Therefore, [name_u]Reign[/name_u] [name_m]Aston[/name_m] Disick would become [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Rain[/name_u] Disick.

20. The worst name I’ve heard recently is [name_m]Essex[/name_m].

I would rename the [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] Fam girls (vloggers on youtube) For [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (the eldest) I’d name her [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and for [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] (the youngest) I’d name her one of my combos [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. Whilst [name_u]London[/name_u] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] are two different styles I think they would suit their personalities better.

  1. I don’t use my real name online, but it’s a longer version of [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and VERY Greek. I hated it when I was a child because everyone would pronounce it wrong or mistake it for something else, but now I’ve grown to appreciate having an uncommon name. My middle name starts with the same letter as my first name so the alliteration is nice. And I was named after the two most important women in my parents lives.
