The Valentine's Day Surprise We Didn't Want

Dear all,
Last week, on [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s day, our sixth son surprised us all by arriving twelve weeks before his due date. Thankfully, he turned out to be a pretty large baby for his gestational age and he almost weighed 3.5 pounds. It has been a terrifying week, but thus far there seem to be no complications except for him being a little one. Since yesterday he has been breathing all on his own, so we found it safe enough to announce his birth.

On [name_f]February[/name_f] 14, 2018, our little fighter [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] was born. He joins five older brothers whose names all contain a -u-, and so we figured his had to as well. It was also a name we have loved for a while now; it was a top contender for at least two of his older brothers. [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is a family name.

For now, we’re just happy that he is here and we’re hoping (we’re not religious, so no praying for us) he will grow up just as fine as his brothers are.

[name_u]Love[/name_u],
TDay

EDIT: Maybe it’s also nice to know that he is now only days apart from our friends’ son Calvin Jared, nn ‘Finn’, who was born February 11.

Awwwww. I wish you the best luck with your boys!

Many congratulations, and welcome to your little fighter [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]! He has a lovely name and I’m sure it will serve him well for many happy and healthy years to come. All the best to you all.

I hope he continues doing well! Congratulations!

Sending best wishes to little [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and your whole family!

Congratulations!

Handsome name. Congrats!

Update: [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is thriving and came home yesterday. He’s still small, but completely healthy otherwise. He truly is a warrior.

So happy to hear he was ready to come home! What a champ.
