One of the two names on our short list is “Lyria”, meaning [name_u]Lyre[/name_u].
A middle name we like is [name_f]Harmonie[/name_f], but Lyria [name_f]Harmonie[/name_f] ___________ sounds very themed.
Our family has a long history of people with stuffy jobs (lawyers, secretaries, you name it) and I don’t want her name to be unprofessional-sounding or cringeworthy in any way. Thoughts?
The other option we have is [name_f]Nerea[/name_f], which I like too, so it’s not as if we don’t have options.
I have a friend called Lyria! She’s never met another one, almost everyone she meets tells her they’ve never heard it before. It’s lovely though. I don’t think Lyria isn’t unprofessional (but please, try not to name your child to ‘fit’ your extended family’s historical careers).
[name_f]Harmonie[/name_f] isn’t my style, but I am a massive [name_f]Harmonie[/name_f] Korine fan so I do like it. I agree it’s too musical sounding with Lyria.
If you just like the sound, maybe Lyria [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]? (this is fairly popular in the UK regardless of the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] connections).
^Sorry if I gave the impression of naming my child to fit my family’s careers!
I don’t want to pressure her into anything, but I have a bit of an imagination when it comes to names so I don’t want to end up naming her Laqueeshanka or anything crazy like that.
I think Lyria [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is quite nice, thanks!
