Hm. I just realized today that our top boy names are really similar. I kept thinking [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name], [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name], completely forgetting than if we had a [name]Theodore[/name], he would be called [name]Theo[/name].
[name]Theo[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] are much to similar to be brothers, right? Or do you think it would be okay?
If you don’t think they’d go together, which one would you choose over the other?
I love [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] together however I would probably avoid calling [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Theo[/name]. For me [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] are just a little to … - matchy isn’t the right word and it’s not like they rhyme… - rainbows and sunshine!? Here are some other ideas…
[name]Teddy[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name]?
[name]Teddy[/name] and [name]Hugh[/name]?
[name]Ted[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name]?
[name]Ted[/name] and [name]Hugh[/name]?
Though if [name]Hugo[/name] goes by [name]Hugh[/name] then [name]Theodore[/name] could go by [name]Theo[/name] without it feeling as similar.
[name]Theo[/name] and [name]Hugh[/name]?
[name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] as full names are fine. [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] share an “o” ending so they are matchy. Would you consider [name]Teddy[/name] for [name]Theodore[/name]'s nn or [name]Hugh[/name] for [name]Hugo[/name]'s?
I really love [name]Teddy[/name] as a nickname for [name]Theodore[/name], but I’ve kind of been avoiding it because the nickname that my family has always called me is [name]Little[/name] [name]Bear[/name] (and just [name]Bear[/name] now that I’m twenty). The very moment that I told my mom how much I love [name]Theodore[/name], she just gushed “Oh my, my [name]Little[/name] [name]Bear[/name] could have a [name]Teddy[/name] [name]Bear[/name]…” and that exactly how it would be for the rest of his life, you know? I really dont think it’s that bad (I think I actually refer to myself as [name]Bear[/name] more than I do [name]Kylee[/name]), but as my boyfriend never really had a nickname until my mom gave him one (that embarrasses him), he doesn’t like the thought of him having a cutesy nickname for the rest of his life. I think I would actually like to have a little [name]Teddy[/name] [name]Bear[/name], hahaha.
I think [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name] sound great for brothers, and honestly, [name]Theo[/name] is just a nickname and you won’t always be calling him that and not always saying “[name]Theo[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name]” I think they sound great and I say stick with it.
