Theodora, Minerva, Nola, Sabine

We’re expecting a daughter in [name]August[/name] and we have a list of four names at this point:
[name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Minerva[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name]

I like different things about each- the flexibility of [name]Theodora[/name]/[name]Minerva[/name] ([name]Thea[/name], [name]Dora[/name], [name]Minna[/name]), the simplicity of [name]Nola[/name], and the way it sounds with my son’s names; the allure, and slight exoticism of [name]Sabine[/name].

Would love some opinions on any of these four.

My sons are [name]Caius[/name] and [name]Otto[/name] if it helps!

I like [name]Theodora[/name] best out of all of them. I love names with a “[name]Thea[/name]” relation like [name]Althea[/name] and [name]Timothea[/name]. It also has a beautiful sound that carries a feminine grace that is hard to match. [name]Sabine[/name] would be the runner up in my opinion, it has a rhythm and slightly foreign edge to it that makes it flow nicely. Here are some ideas for these selections:
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Sabine[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Celine[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name] [name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] this helped!

Oooh, I love these! I’d rank them:

[name]Minerva[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]

I think [name]Minerva[/name] is best overall and goes wonderfully with your sons’ names, [name]Sabine[/name] is lovely and I like the nns [name]Bee[/name] and [name]Bina[/name], [name]Theodora[/name] is just thoroughly fantastic, and [name]Nola[/name] is sleek and distinctive. Are you aware that some people use [name]Nola[/name] as a nickname for [name]New[/name] Orleans, [name]Louisiana[/name]? That’s what I think of when I hear it, anyway. Not sure if it’s a concern for you at all.

Since you have it down to four and they’re all great options, why not wait until you meet the baby and see which one feels right?

I agree with stormshine, [name]Theodora[/name] is the best one of the list, plus I [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname [name]Thea[/name]!!! soooo adorable

I think [name]Caius[/name], [name]Otto[/name], and [name]Theodora[/name] go best together. My overall favorite name though would be [name]Nola[/name] or [name]Sabine[/name].

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Nola[/name] and [name]Sabine[/name]. The others seem a bit weighty and aged for a little one.

The only one I don’t care for is [name]Minerva[/name]. Nickname [name]Minnie[/name] makes it sweet though.
With your sibset, I think [name]Sabine[/name] is the best. [name]Theodora[/name] or [name]Nola[/name] fit nicely as well, but [name]Sabine[/name] is a bit more exotic. [name]Caius[/name] and [name]Otto[/name] have the same feel.
[name]Thea[/name] and [name]Nola[/name] are personal favorites, but I like [name]Nola[/name] as a nn for [name]Magnolia[/name] or [name]Finola[/name], [name]Thea[/name] as a nn for [name]Dorothea[/name]. It is hard for me to choose between [name]Dorothea[/name] and [name]Theodora[/name] though. I think since [name]Theodora[/name] doesn’t actually have [name]Thea[/name] in it, I like [name]Dorothea[/name] better.
Good luck! You have great taste!

I love all of them. Honestly.

[name]Theodora[/name] is the best!!

I love your sons names.

I love all of these names, especially [name]Minerva[/name]. Whilst all of these names can work with your son’s names, I do like [name]Caius[/name], [name]Otto[/name] and [name]Minerva[/name] the most.

[name]Minerva[/name]. Hands down.

I like [name]Sabine[/name] the best.

I love all of the names on your list, I think Sabine or Minerva go best with your son’s names stylistically since they are the most exotic of the bunch.

I like [name]Minerva[/name] the best. I love mythology so of course this would be my pick. [name]Minerva[/name] carries with it strength, wisdom, and knowledge. It has the same style as your boys names, while the others feel somewhat mismatched. Plus, [name]Minnie[/name]. [name]How[/name] can you pass that up?

With your sons, I’d rank them: [name]Sabine[/name], theodora, nola, minerva.
The only one I don’t love is minerva. Not wild about the sound and the ‘nerve’ in the middle. But I really really like the others!

[name]Theodora[/name] and [name]Minerva[/name] seem to fit with your boys the best, and both have lovely nicknames. ([name]Minerva[/name]'s one of my favorites, though it’s a bit of an outlier for my list stylistically.)

They are all wonderful except for [name]Nola[/name]. I think my favorites are [name]Minerva[/name] and [name]Sabine[/name] though

I dislike [name]Minerva[/name] - it does not sound beautiful to me at all. I think [name]Nola[/name] is perfect and [name]Theodora[/name]/[name]Sabine[/name] are very nice names, too. If you want a longer name for [name]Nola[/name], may I suggest Finnola? I love Finnola so much.

I love either [name]Theodora[/name] or [name]Minerva[/name] - [name]Sabine[/name] is beautiful, but the others have such weight, like [name]Caius[/name] and [name]Otto[/name] (which I also adore!). Good luck with your decision - I’m certainly stuck between those two, so I can’t imagine how you must feel with four to select from!

I like [name]Theodora[/name] and [name]Minerva[/name]; not too keen on the other two.
