Theodore nn Teddy: does it work at all in my sibset?

DH loves [name]Teddy[/name]. I’d like to use [name]Theodore[/name] as the full-name because I love it, and it’s actually much more my style than the names of our other children that we compromised on. Our kids are [name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], and [name]Michael[/name] (although he goes exclusively by [name]Mick[/name]).

[name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Michael[/name], and [name]Theodore[/name]

I feel like [name]Logan[/name]'s name is so disparate from the sibling’s names if we decide to go with [name]Theodore[/name]/[name]Teddy[/name]. What do you think?

I see your family in twos: [name]Logan[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] are the spunky pair and [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] are the classic pair. :). I would go with the full name of [name]Theodore[/name] to give your son the option of reverting back to the longer name when he outgrows [name]Teddy[/name].

I saw a similar grouping, but for me it was [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Logan[/name] as dated/formerly trendy names, and [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] as vintage classics.

[name]Teddy[/name] definitely works as a nn for [name]Theodore[/name]! The only other nn I’ve heard for [name]Theodore[/name] was [name]Theo[/name].

I wouldn’t sweat the sibset too much. [name]Don[/name]'t let [name]Logan[/name]'s name dictate what you name your future children.

I would go with [name]Theodore[/name]. The nickname [name]Teddy[/name] is fine as a little boy, but I think [name]Teddy[/name] might could go by [name]Ted[/name] when he’s older. [name]Ted[/name], [name]Logan[/name], and [name]Mick[/name] sound like cool brothers to me.
