[name]Just[/name] came across it, what do people think?
It’s pretty!
I seem to recall a movie with [name]Molly[/name] Ringwald as a teen mom and her baby had this name, maybe I am thinking of something else, but that is what sparked in my mind when I read your thread.
jemama - That is most certainly a [name]Molly[/name] Ringwald movie that plays from time to time on Lifetime. She got pregnant in high school, married her boyfriend, and couldn’t think of a name, so the father named the baby [name]Theodosia[/name] after his grandmother. I believe they called her [name]Theo[/name].
I don’t hate [name]Theodosia[/name], and I would be so thrilled if I happened to meet a live one in a random crowd somewhere. I don’t like it for myself because, well, for no reason. It just doesn’t light my fire.
It sounds a bit dated to me, and a little overdone. [name]How[/name] about [name]Theadora[/name]/[name]Theodora[/name] instead??
I like it. I think it’s very pretty. I don’t like it for myself, but i would love to meet one.
I love it! Over the top, but in a good way. Nn potential- [name]Theo[/name], [name]Thea[/name], [name]Dot[/name], [name]Dolly[/name] and [name]Theda[/name]. Definitely feels flapperish & vampy like [name]Theda[/name] [name]Bara[/name] to me. This name has a somewhat similar vibe to [name]Tallulah[/name], but less cutesy imo…which I think is a good thing!
I agree completely. I think it’s usable, but only for a brave namer!

Yup, the movie’s called, For Keeps.
I like [name]Theodosia[/name] in theory, but it’s a whole lotta name. I prfer [name]Theodora[/name], [name]Dorothea[/name], or even [name]Thea[/name]. But it’s a great guilty pleasure name.
- [name]Athena[/name]
A bit of a mouthful, almost to the point of sounding silly. If there were some other nickname for it other than [name]Theo[/name], I wouldn’t mind seeing on someone else('s child) though.
It isn’t going to be bestowed on any child, don’t worry, I just think it would be so gorgeous, with the nickname [name]Thea[/name] used day to day
I agree with the good in theory not so good in practice remarks…though the nn potential would help it : D. I find the “dozey” sound kind of comical, too. I imagine a sleepy little girl (which is kind of cute though : D).
