Hello Berries!
I have finally narrowed down my name list to a few select names which I love for various reasons. [name_m]Just[/name_m] to be clear we are still TTC- yes, I know it’s been a long journey- but perhaps it was this long so we could find the perfect names for us? LOL (I’ll keep telling myself that…)
I am considering this more theoretically at the moment- but “IF” there were twin girls what combos could I use? There is a possibility I could end up with twins as I am now doing double embryo IVF transfers. You never know right?
These are my top girl names and why:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name- it holds meaning for us as we had roses at our wedding, the rose is the symbol of love, I have heaps of roses in my garden and even roses engraved on my engagement ring. I like the nn [name_f]Rosey[/name_f] as it sounds merry.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] as a first name- I like that it has a very similar sound to [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]- which is my “GP” name, but I feel [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is just so popular here in [name_m]Oz[/name_m]- even worse it’s popular with bogans. Anyway, in my search to replace [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] I came to love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I adore the meaning- shining bright which makes me think of the light at the end of this tunnel. I like that there is a sense of history to the name too.
Then along came [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I adore her now. I like the nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] if she were a FN or as a cute add on pet name with the first as [name_f]Mae[/name_f] if she were a MN. I love the meaning “battle-mighty”- cause she sure would be. [name_m]Roald[/name_m] Dahl was a favourite author growing up and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] a wonderful story and character. Of course the link to Australia is perfect with the song “waltzing [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]”.
A single little girl would likely be [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
Top 3 names are:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
I like the idea of linking the names subtly if there were twins.
Some ideas I have been having:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ([name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] means Shining bright and [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] meaning [name_m]Light[/name_m])
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] both flowers- [name_f]Iris[/name_f] has such a rich meaning too)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] ([name_f]Jade[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are both colours- and both lucky gems I wear)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] ([name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] means Shining bright and [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] meaning [name_m]Light[/name_m])
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] both flowers- and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] has such a rich meaning too)
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] both flowers)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] both flowers)
I feel I have yet to hit the jackpot on a second MN combo for the “IF” twins.
Letters I can’t put after [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] (A,L,O,R) Letters I can’t put after [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (A,I,O).
Then there are all the other names on my signature! Ahh why are there so many wonderful names?!?!
Any great ideas? I want something easy to spell, easy to say, known, yet quirky and spunky (especially with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]). Nothing too frilly- eg [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f], or too Unusual to mainstream population eg [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f].
Thanks in advance,
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]![]()
