I could not be happier to announce the birth of [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. They arrived on [name_f]April[/name_f] 1st. They came home to big sisters [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], [name_u]Bristol[/name_u], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Dolly[/name_f], and Grechen.
These twins have been the hardest for me to name. We were set on [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] for awhile, but changed our mind when we met them. [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is a name I came across while I was pregnant. I wanted to use it, but was worried that maybe she would be teased because of the food. After thinking about it I decided that she probably wouldn’t be teased. As soon as I saw [name_f]Olive[/name_f], I knew that her name was neither [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] nor [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I chose [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] as her middle name, because of the [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] [name_m]Cleary[/name_m] books. I decided when I started having children that I wanted to use [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] in some way, because the [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] books were a big part of my childhood. And although I would love to have another child I’m not sure if we are going to be able to have another, so I knew I had to use [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] this time. I chose [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as her second middle name, because I think [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is such a pretty name.
We named [name_f]Olive[/name_f] first. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] was so much harder to name. Nothing seemed right. Our main choices for her were [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. My partner really wanted [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but we decided it was too close to [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. I asked our nurse if she had any suggestions, and she said that our baby looked like a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. After she said that I looked at our baby, and I knew that [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] was her name. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] are both family names on my partners’ side. At first I was worried that [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] didn’t flow very well, but my partner really wanted to use family names, since this may be our last child.
I could not be more grateful to all the people who helped us pick out a name for our beautiful little girls.
