So, I’ve been posting quite a bit lately on a few different names. Here’s a recap.
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - Really love this name, it’s short, sweet and feminine but decided against using it because it truly sounds silly with our last name [name_m]Farmer[/name_m].
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] - It’s classy and a family name but I think it’s a bit too plain.
So, I thought why not combine the two and make [name_f]Liliana[/name_f]. I think it solves both issues. It doesn’t sound silly with our last name and it’s definitely not plain.
What are your honest opinions on this name? And I would like some help choosing a middle. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think something shorter would sound best since [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] is 4 syllables and our last name is 2?
I think it is nice but there’s a good chance some people might end up calling her [name_f]Lily[/name_f] as a nickname and then you’re back to the same issue with [name_m]Farmer[/name_m]. But maybe that only would bother you for the full name.
For a middle name I think something with 2 or 3 syllables would work best
I don’t mind [name_f]Liliana[/name_f]. I think it’s an exotic twist on a classic name. To answer your other question, it sounds beautiful with your last name, so no worries in that area.
