Think/Say

I have played this game on other message boards. In this game, I will introduce my “child,” boy or girl. You first post what you would actually SAY versus what you are really thinking, then leave a name for the next person to comment on. For example, I might post

I’d like you to meet my son, [name_u]Mickey[/name_u]
You might post:
[name_m]Say[/name_m]: Oh, what a cute name!
Think: Poor kid is named after a mouse.

Or, I might say,

I’d like you to meet my daughter [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f]
You might respond with:
[name_m]Say[/name_m]: [name_m]Hi[/name_m], [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], what a lovely name!
Think: That’s one of my favorite names!
Hopefully, you get the gist of it.

Here we go:

I would like you to meet my daughter, [name_u]Addyson[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: That’s a cute name!
Think: I know way too many Addisons.

This is my son [name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: That’s a lovely name!
Think: What a cool sounding name!

This is my daughter [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] [name_f]Lila[/name_f].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]!
Think: I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f], but I’m not fond of [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] on a girl unless it’s a MN.

These are my daughters: [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f], you guys have cute names!
Think: [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] are absolutely gorgeous, I’m just not a fan of [name_u]Ryan[/name_u].

This is my son [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: Aw! Nice to meet you, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. What a cool name!
Think: Wow! I love both those names, but I wouldn’t be brave enough to use [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I would have switched the first and middle name.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! These are my twins, [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] & Romee [name_u]Anne[/name_u].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m]! [name_m]Hi[/name_m] Romee!
Think: [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] is very handsome! Romee is a nice, alternative spelling to [name_u]Romy[/name_u] but it’s trendier than [name_m]Leo[/name_m], a classic. Nonetheless, both names flow beautifully together.

I’d like to introduce you to my son, Shaden [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] and my daughter, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_u]Everly[/name_u].

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: Bonjour, Shaden! Bonjour, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]!
Think: Shaden sounds ridiculous, and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] sounds to southern (US)
However, I think their middle names’ are nice and go well together!

I’d like to introduce my daughter, [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandrine[/name_f]!

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: Hello [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]! You have a very beautiful name!

Think: While the name is not my style at all, its a beautiful combo, and [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] is a pretty name. I would prefer [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] though. I think it would flow better.

This is my baby girl [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. She is getting a sister named [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_f]Lola[/name_f] any day now.

[name_m]Say[/name_m]: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]! Are you excited to meet your sister?
Think: I’m not a fan of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], and I prefer [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] on a boy. They don’t sound great together, must be meaningful.

I’d like you to meet my twins, [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] Addiena & [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] Carrow.

Say: It’s nice to meet you guys!
Think: [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] Addiena is a mouthful, but I like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] Carrow and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] sound sweet together!

Hi! This is my daughter [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]!

Say: [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] to meet you!
Think: Great names, but they don’t go to well together…it’s hard to say with the first name ending in a and the middle name beginning with an a.

Hey! Meet my two daughters [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Leto[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]!

Say: [name_m]Hi[/name_m]! By the way, if you ever need a babysitter…
Think: OMG I love it!! Amazing names!!! The dusky blue-charcoal of [name_f]Juno[/name_f] mixed with the rich pink of [name_f]Rose[/name_f], the pink-green of [name_f]Leto[/name_f] with the softer pink-green of [name_u]Marie[/name_u]… marvelous. Although it is a little weird to introduce kids by their middle names!

Meet my kids: [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] Wildrose, [name_f]Aster[/name_f] [name_f]Madelief[/name_f], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u]!

Say: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] girls! Nice to meet you.
Think: I think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Aster[/name_f] go together, but not with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. [name_u]Nature[/name_u] middle names are cute though.

This is my daughter, [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

Say: Hey [name_u]Quincy[/name_u]!
Think: prefer just [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a nice enough name.

This is my daughter [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] and my son [name_m]Buck[/name_m] [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u]. We are expecting another baby girl who will be named Wolfie in [name_u]November[/name_u].

Say: Oh, congratulations! Are the two of you excited to meet your little sister?
Think: Wolfie on a girl is darling (side note to myself: remember Wolfie for a girl!). [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is such a pretty combo and I like [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u], too, but [name_m]Buck[/name_m] caught me off guard. I mean I like the name, but it doesn’t start with a W and also sounds so hard compared to charming and elegant [name_f]Winona[/name_f] and Wolfie. Is it weird to ask if they already have a middle name in mind…?

Meet my girls! This is [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and the little one is [name_f]Ebony[/name_f].

Say: Hey girls!

Think: [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] is adorable, though not a big fan of [name_f]Ebony[/name_f] as a name. I like the two of them together though. [name_u]Wonder[/name_u] what their middles are (if they have).

These are my little girls [name_m]Acre[/name_m] and [name_u]Cross[/name_u]. Iam expecting a baby boy in [name_f]May[/name_f]. We will name him [name_u]River[/name_u].

Say: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_m]Acre[/name_m], [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_u]Cross[/name_u]! Are you excited to have a baby brother?

Think: I don’t like [name_m]Acre[/name_m] or [name_u]Cross[/name_u] for girls nor do I like [name_u]Cross[/name_u] for a boy. [name_m]Acre[/name_m] isn’t terrible, but [name_u]River[/name_u] is the best name in this sibset.

This is my daughter, [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and my son, [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_u]George[/name_u].

Say: [name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_u]Lennon[/name_u]! Nice to meet you!
Think: [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is just gorgeus, and I really love how it combines a newer/trendy name with a solid and timeless classic. [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] isn’t my style, and it’s very different from [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. [name_u]George[/name_u] is nice, a bit plain, but classic…

This is my son, [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Auberon[/name_u].

Say: Hey [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a nickname?
Think: [name_u]Love[/name_u] all three names! This sounds incredibly elegant. Are they royal…?

I’d like you to meet my twin girls [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. And that over there is their brother [name_m]Franklin[/name_m].
