Thanks to everyone for your help in choosing our girl name! We’re going with [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] and i just love it! Now i need to find a boy name i love just as much in case this little one is a boy. I’m not sure im quite as in love with our current top boy name, but i like it a lot - [name]Leo[/name].
What do you think of [name]Leo[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] or [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name]? Or something else all together?
Our first son is [name]Hudson[/name] and our last name is similar to Bonner.
Although [name]Leo[/name] is not one of my favorite names, I really like the meaning behind it. [name]Leo[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is nice. I am not a fan of [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name]. [name]James[/name], in my opinion, is a filler name that everybody uses as a middle name because it flows well. [name]How[/name] about [name]Leo[/name] [name]Gregory[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Benedict[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Roderik[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Parker[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Stewart[/name]?
Thanks for the suggestions. However, I forgot to mention that [name]Thomas[/name] and [name]James[/name] are family names and we’d like the mn to be tied to a family member.
Would you do a longer name, and have [name]Leo[/name] as the nick name? Because [name]Amelia[/name] is 4 syllables, you can beautifully match a longer boy name with that - we have [name]Leonidas[/name] on our list of names to bring into the delivery room in [name]December[/name]. There’s also [name]Leonardo[/name], [name]Leonard[/name], [name]Leonel[/name], [name]Leontes[/name], or [name]Leopold[/name].
If not, I still do like [name]Leo[/name]! (We’re using Nidas as the nick name, but I do like [name]Leo[/name] as well).
[name]Leo[/name] is one of my absolute favorites and [name]Thomas[/name] is my grandfather’s name, so that’s actually a combo I’ve considered before. I think it’s absolutely lovely. [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] is very nice as well, but I find [name]James[/name] to be a bit too filler-ish in the middle spot for my own tastes. My vote would be for [name]Leo[/name] [name]Thomas[/name].
I thought “[name]Leo[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]” before I even opened your post to read it. I think [name]Thomas[/name] is the perfect middle with [name]Leo[/name].
I think they are both great options and I keep talking myself in to the one I didn’t think I liked as well (if that makes any sense). For me I think it would come down to which of the namesakes you want to honor.
I agree with the PP that a longer name to pair with [name]Amelia[/name] would be nice if you’re interested. My favorite would be [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] with [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]. If not, I vote for [name]Leo[/name] [name]Thomas[/name].
Thanks, all! [name]Just[/name] to clarify though, we are not using both [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] so they don’t have to pair well. We’re only having one baby but don’t know the gender.
[name]Levi[/name] is cute but unfortunately I can’t get rid of the association with [name]Levi[/name] [name]Johnston[/name], [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name]'s ex.
