Thinking about Amias

What’s everyone’s opinion on the name [name_m]Amias[/name_m]? It’s slowly growing on my and I’m tempted to add it to my favourites. However, I’m also thinking of re-adding [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_u]August[/name_u] back into my favourites - do you think that’s too many A- names?

Thanks in advance!

I really like [name_m]Amias[/name_m], and I am normally not an “A” name person in general. It kind of has the same feel as [name_u]Elias[/name_u], to me, which means it may grow in popularity once that name dies down. I’m actually VERY surprised it isn’t more popular, considering that it feels so accessible. It feels like a friendly name of maybe a slightly introverted and artistic boy. It’s on my list

I love [name_m]Amias[/name_m]. It feels so friendly and approachable, and I love the colonial/Revolutionary War era feel it has to it. As far as having too many A names in your favorites, I don’t think that matters. If it’s just a list of favorite names, the names can be as similar or different as you please.

I think it’s absolutely smashing and I don’t understand why it doesn’t get more love, especially on Nameberry.

[name_m]Amias[/name_m] is a rare name with a friendly and approachable sound that I find appealing. The meaning “loved” is wonderful too. The only drawbacks: another spelling ([name_m]Amyas[/name_m]) and various pronunciations. [name_m]How[/name_m] are you pronouncing the name? A list can have as many of the same letters as you want. Ultimately, you don’t have to use them. They’re just there as a reminder of your favourites.

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] THIS NAME> I would use it in a heartbeat on a second son even though my son’s name is [name_u]Owen[/name_u]. Maybe in the middle would be better. I love the softness and subtle strength of it, as well of course as the meaning. I say it ah-MY-us.
