[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] - I love it. Spunky and vintage.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - [name_m]Both[/name_m] of these are gorgeous. [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], though [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] met a tragic end. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f]! Such a wonderful namesake.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] the [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] pedigree, but the name’s just a tad frilly for me.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - Sounds a bit action hero for my taste. I prefer [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f].
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] - I read a children’s book where [name_f]Thora[/name_f] was the main character. Definitely interesting.
Xanthippe - Never heard this one before.
Gavroche - Gavroche was one of my favorite characters, so a yes on my end! [name_m]Marius[/name_m] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] the name, though [name_m]Marius[/name_m] has never been my favorite character. Also, there’s a different pronunciation in [name_m]Britain[/name_m], [name_u]America[/name_u] and [name_f]France[/name_f]. Courfeyrac - Another [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis favorite of mine, though I’d fear for mispronunciation.
[name_u]Jory[/name_u] - A little insufficient for me.
[name_m]Jago[/name_m] - For some reason reminds me of the Shakespearean [name_m]Iago[/name_m]. Not a great connotation.
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - Makes me think of caped, dueling men.
Alastor - See [name_m]Alaric[/name_m].
Have you considered any of the [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis ladies’ names? There are some gems. Azelma, [name_f]Eponine[/name_f], [name_f]Fantine[/name_f]…if you consider the less literal, I think [name_f]Patria[/name_f] is lovely.
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - Beautiful names, but I think they’d be a little flat with the rest of your list.
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] - Not my style, but I think they fit.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - Gorgeous!
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - Maybe I’ve just seen it too many times, but it feels very common to me. It feeld like [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] to me.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] it! Our first choice for a girl.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] it, too! Our second choice for a girl, but I think it sounds a little harsh next to your other names.
Xanthippe - I think that this would be the perfect addition to your list!
Gavroche - I love how it looks, but have trouble even imagining it in the middle spot, but that’s really really just me.
[name_m]Marius[/name_m] - Not my style and I don’t think it fits in very well. I’m not sure why, it just seems like a completely different style.
Courfeyrac - Perfect for a middle spot.
[name_u]Jory[/name_u] - Very cute!
[name_m]Jago[/name_m] - Very sweet, strong name.
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - I think it would be misheard all the time, but it’s still a great name.
Alastor - I prefer [name_m]Alastair[/name_m].
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f]-very pretty, prim and proper victorian name.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]- I prefer [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Nice.
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]- definitely [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]. [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] is very pretty.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]- I am not a huge [name_f]Esther[/name_f] fan but I think it fits.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]- I love it. So elegant. Somebody on here named her daughter [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I thought thatwas beautiful .
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]-nms.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f]- [name_f]Thora[/name_f] has always felt a little harsh to me.
Xantippe- (xan-ti-ppe?) A little too different.
I love [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis but I think some of the names would be difficult for people to pronounce, for the exception of [name_m]Marius[/name_m].
My fav would be alaric.
Ugh, [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. These two are always on my list, they’re so unique and yet (to me) look like they should be common. [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] and Gavroche are nice too.
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] - It sounds like a type of candy or maybe some kind of medicine.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. It’s a pretty name.
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] - Seeing as [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is so popular, I’d stay away from any [name_u]Isa[/name_u]- or -bella names. Plus, I just don’t really like these.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - All I can think of is [name_f]Esther[/name_f] from the movie Orphan. This name is just so old-fashioned sounding. I don’t like it.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] better…
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - I’m not a fan…
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] - As in [name_m]Thor[/name_m]? Ha. I don’t like it.
Xanthippe - I don’t even know what to say. [name_m]Just[/name_m]…no.
Gavroche - I love the association, but I doubt I’d ever use the name.
[name_m]Marius[/name_m] - I like it.
Courfeyrac - Okay, I’m sensing a trend here. If you are to use these names, don’t use them all in the same sibset - that would be kinda tacky. The only one I could see flying in “real life” is [name_m]Marius[/name_m]. And even then, it’s not my style.
[name_u]Jory[/name_u] - Not a fan.
[name_m]Jago[/name_m] - Not a fan.
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m]/Alastor - I don’t like either.
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Araminta[/name_f], it sounds so graceful and regal
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - I adore these both. I prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] myself, but I think [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is wonderful too
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] - two very lovely alternatives to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]/e. If I had to choose between the two I would go with [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - ah this is so lovely and sweet. I’m actually watching an adaptation of Bleak House atm, and there’s a great character on it names [name_f]Esther[/name_f] so I’m really loving it right now
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - this is my favourite girls name so I naturally think it’s perfect and in every way wonderful
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - another wonderful name, I think the X makes it sleeker than the others
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] - not a name I’ve ever really considered personally, but I actually really like it
Xanthippe - the only one I dislike. I would just stick with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] personally
Gavroche - I’m guessing you’re a [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis fan, but out of this and [name_m]Marius[/name_m] I prefer [name_m]Marius[/name_m] and think it’s much more usable
[name_m]Marius[/name_m] - see above
Courfeyrac - this just seems really odd to me. I don’t think it would be usable either
[name_u]Jory[/name_u] - I like this, it’s short, simple and sweet
[name_m]Jago[/name_m] - this is nice too bit I think I prefer [name_u]Jory[/name_u]
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - nms, but I think it’s quite handsome
Alastor - is this a form of [name_m]Alistair[/name_m]? I think I would just prefer that
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] - okay, all I hear is the mint part, but it’s not terrible
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - very usable
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] - [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] is a bit overly frilly to me, like being named Imafleur. I like [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] a lot though.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - lovely, my favorite from your list.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - I just really don’t like this one, never been a fan.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - cute, would make a lovely middle
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] - hmm, I don’t hate it, but it does make me think of Zeusa
Xanthippe - bit crazy sounding to me
Gavroche - as a middle…maybe, gosh I’d laugh though if someone told me it was their mn! I’d probably start singing [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis to them.
[name_m]Marius[/name_m] - I can see it being used, it does feel feminine, like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] or [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Janice[/name_f]
Courfeyrac - sorry, but this one seems totally crazy to me, the spelling and pronunciation would never be guessed. My first impression of it is to read “[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]'s Rack”
[name_u]Jory[/name_u] - I think as a nn or mn this could work fine. I’ve heard it as a nn for [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] but could also work for names like [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] or [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_u]Reid[/name_u], etc.
[name_m]Jago[/name_m] - meh, doesn’t feel very recognizable to me, like it should belong to someone from another country. It’s not bad though
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - I actually really like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. My favorite from your boys list.
Alastor - I don’t mind the name, but I’d spell it [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] or [name_m]Alisdair[/name_m]
Of the [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis characters, I’d say Grantaire is more useable as [name_m]Grant[/name_m] is very popular and r endings are common.
