[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
I joined Nameberry a while ago as a writer looking for character names- and then my husband and I discovered we’re going to have a baby to name, too! I’m due [name]July[/name] 4. We haven’t found out the gender yet- hopefully we’ll find out at the next ultrasound- but until then, we’re thinking up girls names!
The boys’ name we have picked out is [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Christopher[/name]- our last name is one syllable and pretty common. We’re not overly concerned about popularity, since we have relatively common first names and a relatively common last name, and it’s no biggie for us.
Really beautiful list, I personally love [name]Virginia[/name], it’s uncommon but familiar and very sweet and vintage. It will age well and has a number of cute nicknames available.
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] would be a wonderful name and gets you two of your favorites.
Other ideas…
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] - again, flow is nice and gets you two favorites
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Helen[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Florence[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
I love both [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Rachel[/name] from your list. I would love to see [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rachel[/name], or possibly [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] (or [name]Rachel[/name] something else… I love [name]Rachel[/name] for a FN, but I don’t especially love [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] as combos…).
Good ideas- thank you! I really like [name]Virginia[/name] [name]Claire[/name] as a combo, and now I’ve got [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] turning over in my head too… they sound like sweet girls names, but very classic too.
Would [name]Claire[/name] work as a first name with a one-syllable last name? I’m really liking the way [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name] sound as a sibset.
