Hello! We have two girls, [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f], and have recently found out we are expecting a little boy this summer. Like many people, we have a long list of girls names we love, but are struggling to find something we can agree on for a boy. We like short, easy to pronounce names as our last name is four syllables and somewhat cumbersome. Our last name starts and ends with the “R” sound, so we find that boys names ending with -ER do not sound great, which rules out some good names.
Some names we are considering:

[name_u]Seth[/name_u]- was a front runner if baby #1 was a boy, but not sure we still love it

Nell and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] are so sweet! [name_m]Otis[/name_m] would be a lovely addition, although really any of the names on your list would go nice. [name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourites are [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. [name_m]Heath[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] feel a bit heavier than the others, but they would still work.

Nell and Fern are so lovely and Otis would fit in perfectly! It’s such a unique yet wearable name and has the same vintage charm as Nell and Fern.
I’m not a huge fan of the others but Simon and Henry (adore Henry but I’m not a fan of Hal personally) would complement your daughters’ names well too.

Great list! I really like [name_m]Orson[/name_m] and [name_m]Bastian[/name_m]. I LOVE [name_m]Lucian[/name_m], but used to babysit for one and while he was adorable, it’s too tied to that one person for me!

I think they share the same quirky, offbeat charm and distinctive-yet-familiar quality as your daughters’ names. I also love [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], and [name_m]Graham[/name_m]; they don’t jump out at me the same way as [name_m]Bram[/name_m] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] in terms of being perfect fits style-wise, but they’re wonderful names individually and I definitely think they work with your sibset. [name_u]Seth[/name_u] and [name_m]Heath[/name_m] are nice but not personal favorites of mine, and I agree with you that [name_u]Owen[/name_u] is quite a bit more popular than your other kiddos’ names. And [name_m]Hal[/name_m] I think shares a little too much sound with [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. Overall, [name_m]Otis[/name_m] gets my top vote from your list–I adore it with your daughters’ names!
You’ve had a lot of amazing suggestions already–some of my favorites that I would second are [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Linus[/name_m], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], and [name_u]Reid[/name_u]. I especially love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for you!
I don’t know if want to repeat an initial with [name_f]Nell[/name_f], but if I get over that, it’s totally in the running for me!
