Husband and I are really struggling to name our third baby girl, due in 9 weeks. We named our first daughter [name]Carys[/name] [name]Anne[/name] (middle name is after my middle name, my mom’s middle name and paternal great grandmother). Our second daughter is [name]Elise[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] (middle name after husband’s grandmother). We want something a little different, a little unique, something that’s probably not a “top 100” name. We also don’t want it to be too weird/different. We’ll probably go with the middle name [name]Catherine[/name] to continue the traditional middle name idea (although if we find a first name we love and [name]Catherine[/name] doesn’t go well with it, we’re open to changing that). I’m currently stuck on this thought that I’d like the name to have an “S” sound in it like [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Elise[/name], but I can’t find anything I like. So, we’re open to other things that go well with [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]. Also, [name]Carys[/name] means “love” and [name]Elise[/name] means “my God is a vow,” so meanings are important to me. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!
Anneleise : gracious
[name]Sophia[/name] : wisdom
[name]Iris[/name] : rainbow
[name]Irene[/name] : peace
[name]Anya[/name] : [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Grace[/name] : grace
[name]Cadence[/name] : rythem
[name]Meredith[/name] : lord
Amora : love
[name]Mia[/name] : Mine
GL!
I so feel your pain trying to come up with a 3rd girl name that you like as much as the first! I’m in the same boat right now trying to name our 4th DD. [name]Elise[/name] is actually on my top 4 list for this baby.
What about:
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]/[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name] or [name]Celia[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Alaina[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
My immediate thought for you was [name]Hollis[/name]. [name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Hollis[/name] are stunning together in my opinion. Her meaning, “near the holly bushes” is nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible either. [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] has that perfect amount of spunk, charm, and class that is shared with sisters [name]Carys[/name] [name]Anne[/name] & [name]Elise[/name] [name]Margaret[/name].
Other names you may consider
[name]Lilias[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Mavis[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Sisley[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Astrid[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Sidonie[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
And a total wild card, but i think [name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Willa[/name] are absolutely stunning together. Her nn could be “[name]Wills[/name]” to add in an s sound, or you could choose an alternate middle name that has a strong s sound in it so the names are tied. Something like [name]Carys[/name] [name]Anne[/name], [name]Elise[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Willa[/name] [name]Cecily[/name] would be gorgeous.

I had [name]Willa[/name] on my list and am trying to convince Husband of it. Your post is making me feel more and more like [name]Willa[/name] could be a strong choice. I’m also trying out [name]Mavis[/name] in my head. I really like [name]Isla[/name] and possibly [name]Selia[/name] with an “S” instead of a “C.” Thank you for the suggestions so far!!
After seeing your daughters names, the first names that came to my mind are [name]Linden[/name], [name]Margot[/name] and [name]Bronwyn[/name]. I love the suggested [name]Hollis[/name], too.
I have a soft spot for willa, and another favorite (similar to selia/celia) is the name [name]Sela[/name]. I love it and would use it if my friend didnt…she gets compliments on the name all the time.
We are also expecing girl #3 and I feel it is harder this time! I don’t think I have run out of names, but sometimes it feels that way.
[name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Maren[/name]
[name]Jemma[/name]/[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Cassia[/name]
[name]Sela[/name] (sey-la)
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Zara[/name]
[name]Irina[/name]
I love how we suggested [name]Sela[/name] at the same time!
[name]Gemma[/name] is a great suggestion, too
[name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Selena[/name]?
[name]Carys[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] are an outstanding pair! [name]LOVE[/name].
You guys rock. I had both [name]Willa[/name] and [name]Sela[/name], as well as other variations like [name]Selia[/name], [name]Selene[/name], and [name]Selena[/name] on my list. [name]Selena[/name] reminds me a little too much of the famous tejano singer. What I’m liking even more than [name]Sela[/name] now is [name]Selah[/name] - the extra “h” puts it over the top for me in terms of liking it (we would pronounce it SEE-lah). I think my top two have become [name]Willa[/name] and [name]Selah[/name]. I also have [name]Zara[/name] on the list as a curve ball. Thank you all so much! Any other suggestions greatly appreciated as well!
[name]Zara[/name] would be absolutely fun with the little ladies as well. Although not an S, the Z still shared the same sound. So really, in the trio of [name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Zara[/name], she doesn’t sound like a curve ball. Though, she does pull the trio into a more exotic feel, rather than say [name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Willa[/name], which feels welcoming and comforting.
I hope your huz goes for [name]Willa[/name]. A winner in my book!
PS: Would you use another C name? I think [name]Carys[/name], [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Celine[/name] are absolutely stunning together as well. I know you have the [name]Selene[/name] variation up there, but spelled as [name]Celine[/name] it carries such grace and takes her much further away from Gomez. [name]Celeste[/name] would also be stunning.

I thought of [name]Serena[/name] when I read [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a suggestion…
