I’m posting again for help with the name of our third son due this [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. We have had such a hard time naming a third as our parameters are pretty narrow.
Our children are [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]. We would like to find a name that does not start with an E or A, does not end in an “n” sound or “s” sound, and is of either [name_f]English[/name_f], [name_m]German[/name_m], Scottish, [name_u]Irish[/name_u] or even old Gaelic or Hebrew origin however we’re open to expanding that!
We also would like a name with a really strong meaning, and is minimum two syllables because of our last name. (Also our middle name choices are all one syllable- [name_m]Holt[/name_m], [name_u]Rome[/name_u], and Wolfe).
Currently my favorite choice is Tormey [name_m]Holt[/name_m]. I love it for the uniqueness, and the fact that it’s [name_u]Irish[/name_u] and means lightening spirit. But I realize it’s a specific taste and I worry about people’s reactions to it.
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves [name_u]Everett[/name_u] which I agree is a beautiful name but I’m worried about how common it is being in the top 100 and rising. Rett could be a cute nickname to set it apart, but we’ve never used nicknames with our other children.
Other names we ruled out are [name_u]Scotland[/name_u], [name_u]Kingston[/name_u], [name_m]Oskar[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Orren[/name_m], [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] or [name_m]Anzel[/name_m], and Hawthrone.
If you have any suggestions that are within our particular parameters we are forever grateful! Thank you so much!

I like the middle names you have picked out, and there’s nothing wrong with Tormey. It does strike me as similar enough to [name_u]Stormy[/name_u], which seems to be rising in popularity, that it could be misheard rather frequently.
Your parameters are challenging, but I had stringent parameters for naming my kids too, so I enjoyed the challenge. I don’t know that any of these will be quite what you’re looking for, though.

Tormey is so cool! I love it - never heard it before, but it is so cool!
A few more ideas:
[name_m]Sholto[/name_m]
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] (Rett, Bear)
[name_m]Moray[/name_m]
Torquil/Torcall
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u]

I really like Tormey [name_m]Holt[/name_m]. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is handsome but repeats the E and isn’t quite as adventurous and fantastic as your others. Also I don’t find Rett as nice as [name_u]Everett[/name_u] - the [name_u]Ever[/name_u] so nice!
How about (haven’t checked for heritage):
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_u]Calloway[/name_u]
[name_u]Bridger[/name_u]
[name_u]Cedar[/name_u]
[name_u]Tierney[/name_u]
[name_m]Finlo[/name_m]
[name_m]Connell[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
Kenryk / [name_m]Kenrik[/name_m]
[name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u] / Hartley/ [name_m]Farley[/name_m]
[name_u]Clyde[/name_u]
[name_m]Finbar[/name_m]
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
The one syllables would need a longer middle, I’d say.
