Need some name suggestions for baby number three please!
Older sisters are:
Claire Elizabeth
Alice Irene
If baby three is a boy our pick would be Henry Robert.
We do like Emma, but DH has a coworker of that name, and I had a friend by that name in high school (we’re not in touch anymore). Not sure if that would be weird?!
I think [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is fine. It’s a lovely name and incredibly loved so there will be many Emmas. You don’t need to worry about anyone thinking you stole it.
Thanks everyone! I also like [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] but hubby isn’t on board, or he’d prefer [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. Lots of other fabulous suggestions here too I’ll have to think about!
Oh, these names are simply divine. I adore your girls’ names as well as your boy possibly! To go with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I’ll suggest…
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_u]Florence[/name_u]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] (this might be my fave for you!)
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruthie[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
I personally love the idea of a third girl name ending with a silent “e” best of all. Best luck! X
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] are beautiful together.
I think [name_f]Emma[/name_f] would be a good addition to this sibset.
In my opinion, it’s not weird to use it even if there is a coworker and an old acquaintance with that name. I have a coworker who named her daughter like me and another one who named her daughter with a variation of my name. The daughter who shares the same name as me is older and whenever we see each other, we joke about me being number one and her being number two (I became good friend with her mom).
Other names that could fit the same style as your older girls:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_u]Florence[/name_u] or [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
I don’t think there would be anything wrong with [name_f]Emma[/name_f]! It fits perfectly.
As an alternate, I second [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] or [name_u]Emery[/name_u] maybe?
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are so beautiful together and also an anagram !!
Other anagram options that would make a stunning addition to your perfect duo
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] - Hebrew “lion of God”. I love that it is associated with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] Plath , but also a Disney [name_f]Princess[/name_f] ! It’s biblical , and international and also unisex
[name_f]Lacie[/name_f]- [name_f]English[/name_f] “for Lassy” . It may not be as traditional as y Ohhh r older daughters but beautiful and complimentary
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] - my personal favourite for a sister to [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f] ! Latin for heavenly , and it feels whimsical and romantic to me !
[name_f]Erica[/name_f] - Norse for eternal ruler. Stylistically very different from [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] , but I feel like it evokes a strong and powerful woman !
Other names that are not anagrams but I think would make a great addition
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Emma[/name_f] works well and I don’t think it matters hugely that your husband works with an Emma/you have an old friend with the name.
