[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Ok, so an at home blood test said baby #4 is a girl, which I am taking with a grain of salt, but I’m pretty sure its accurate.
That said, I have posted a nearly similar question a couple months ago and I apologize for that but I couldn’t find my old post so I am asking it again but narrowing it down a bit.
Baby’s first name will be [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] (Pearl is actually my middle name and my great grandma’s name). The middle name options are:
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (we just like Eloise)
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (Katherine is my mom & sister’s middle names)
Which of these two would you prefer? Last name is short and starts with K which I dont love with a K middle name but isn’t a dealbreaker.
Siblings are
[name_m]Abel[/name_m] [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
So:
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
or
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
I’d go with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. You don’t like [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] as much with your last name, it sounds like you like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] better in general, and the baby already has a very meaningful first name. Plus I always think it’s nice for everyone to have at least one name that’s just theirs. Congratulations!
So [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is such a perfect sounding name EXCEPT [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] has so much more meaning! I love honor names!!! I’ll vote honor names all day every day over a nice flow.
I have a filler middle that “sounds nice” but so wish I had an honor middle after one of the awesome women in my family that I could carry on.
So I vote [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (which also sounds pretty awesome too)
I actually like Katherine more with Pearl. Pearl Eloise is a bit sloshy sounding with all those L’s. It’s pretty, but I like the crisp and tailored Katherine with whimsical Pearl.
I love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! I like [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], and I get why you wouldn’t want two K’s in the name. What about like [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Erin[/name_f] (Erins a nickname for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] — not a very common one)? You could always do [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] as well!
I really like either [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] or [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] with your kiddo’s names. I do think [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is nice though cause it honors your mom & sister, but I also love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]! I guess I wasn’t much of a help here…
I really love the snappy flow of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. It has so much personality and double, at least in my opinion. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is fine, but it just doesn’t shine. And with a gorgeous name like [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], it deserves some shine!
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] has my vote! This way she has an original part of her name, as opposed to it entirely being from other relatives.

I love both of your middle options… but I like Pearl Katherine a hair more, just because Pearl ends with such a similar sound to that which which Eloise begins. A bit trippy for my tongue, but still lovely x

I think [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] flows better with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] but in all honesty we rarely say our full names out loud so I’d go with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] since it seems to be your favourite and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is already an honour name. Then baby gets an honour name and a name just for themselves
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] ! I love how it’s an honour name and I think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] fits perfectly with [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_f]Fern[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Do[/name_f] your other children have honor names? One or two?
If each has just one and you are already using [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], then I would say go with the name you like best, [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. It is the most interesting and has the best flow/ cadence.

[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is the only one with no honor name, the other 2 have 1. I don’t feel like honor names are totally necessary but sometimes it’s hard not to just do it if I like the name anyways . We will decide soon and hopefully we will be able to announce in the Birth Announcements early next year!
