Ok this will be long…sorry!
I have a trend with my kids name I would like to keep going for our 3rd and last. Hubby doesn’t think we need to and we have not talked about baby names together yet.
I am 23 weeks along with my 3rd.
My daughters name is [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] short form [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. She is named after both my grandmothers who have passed away…
My sons name is [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] short form [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. His middle names are from hubby’s best friend and brother who have both passed. [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m] my husband picked out and I loved that its not your average common name. Hubby wanted just [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] but they are [name_m]BOTH[/name_m] wayyyyyy to common for me.
In case you didn’t notice…both my childrens short forms have 5 letters and there is a double letter. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u].
This is baby #3 and its a girl!!!
I would love a name that has a short version with 5 letters and double.
My great grandmother is 106 years old and still with us. Her name is [name_f]Minna[/name_f] which follows my trend but I do not like any of the long versions associated with it. ([name_f]Minerva[/name_f] or Whilemina). I like uncommon names and Im willing to try out new names that do not follow the trend (5 letters with a double) but I REALLY do want the name to have a short form so she can have a choice what she goes by when older.
here is my long list of girls names and im not stuck on any of them at the moment. Please feel free to comment on my list and suggest other names that are not common (not top 100 or maybe not even top 1000)
In no specific order of likeness…
[name_f]Minna[/name_f]…needs a long version
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]… short form [name_f]Corra[/name_f]
[name_u]Larkin[/name_u]
[name_f]Briella[/name_f]…short form [name_f]Brie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] which doesn’t follow my trend
[name_f]Kalli[/name_f]…needs a long version
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]…My name is [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Lynne[/name_f] so the [name_m]LY[/name_m] from [name_f]Lynne[/name_f] and the [name_m]RA[/name_m] from [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. I have loved this name since highschool and always envisioned [name_f]Love[/name_f] as the middle name.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]…see above ([name_f]Lyra[/name_f]) for information about my name…although not loved since highschool I do seem to like it now.
Laynne…pronounced [name_u]Lane[/name_u] and also derived from my name
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]…needs a long version
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]…oddly enough hubby and I use to live on [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] street when we first moved in together. lol
Kinlee or Kinleigh or [name_f]Kinley[/name_f] (although this spelling seems more masculine to me)
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]…short form Izzey to follow my trend
[name_u]Addison[/name_u]…short form [name_f]Addie[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelynne[/name_f]…short form [name_f]Addie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lynne[/name_f]
And just in case you need more inspiration for the types of names I like I will include my boys name list even though I now know this baby is a girl.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] (always loved it but hubby doesn’t like it. Makes him think if [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] Earp)
[name_f]Kinley[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]…short form haddy
Kalik…heard on a tv show not sure if its actually a name but I liked it
[name_u]Lyric[/name_u]
[name_u]Keegan[/name_u]
Kaven
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u]…short form [name_f]Brenn[/name_f]
[name_m]Bryson[/name_m]…short form [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]
[name_m]Kyler[/name_m]
[name_u]Blaine[/name_u]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m]
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]
[name_u]Kasen[/name_u], or [name_m]Kason[/name_m], or [name_m]Kaysen[/name_m]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f], [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m] and [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] are a great sibset!
