[name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] or [name]Callan[/name]
[name]Liev[/name] or [name]Lev[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name] or [name]Lawrence[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name]
[name]Cosmas[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name] ( still not sure which of the many spelling to use) or [name]Desmond[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] or [name]Prior[/name]
[name]Linus[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name]
I tend to go for Saints names or versions of saints names and I need names easy(ish) to pronounce in English and Spanish! ( they do not have to be English or spanish!)
My family background is Russian, Irish and a bit of scottish… Hubby is Hispanic!
[name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name] - I’m having trouble deciding between these two. [name]Blaine[/name] reminds me of the frat boy type of guy. [name]Blaise[/name] seems child-like. It’s hard to image on an adult.
[name]Callum[/name] or [name]Callan[/name] - [name]Callum[/name]! because [name]Callan[/name] seems a little trendy.
[name]Liev[/name] or [name]Lev[/name] - I like [name]Liev[/name] a little more than [name]Lev[/name].
[name]Lazarus[/name] or [name]Lawrence[/name] - I pick [name]Lawrence[/name]/[name]Laurence[/name](my fav spelling). [name]Lazarus[/name] is a little over the top. I think it would hard for a child to live with.
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name] - [name]Both[/name] names are great. [name]Thomas[/name] ([name]Tomas[/name]) is one of my favorite names.
[name]Cosmas[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name] - I like [name]Cyrus[/name] over [name]Cosmas[/name].
[name]Demetri[/name] or [name]Desmond[/name] - I like the spelling [name]Dimitri[/name] but I think I like [name]Desmond[/name] more than [name]Demetri[/name]/[name]Dimitri[/name].
[name]Peter[/name] or [name]Prior[/name] - [name]Peter[/name] because it’s a classic name.
[name]Linus[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name] - [name]Linus[/name] is awesome. [name]Lennon[/name] just reminds me of [name]John[/name] [name]Lennon[/name].
[name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name] [name]Both[/name] of these would be difficult to pronounce correctly in Spanish.
[name]Callum[/name] or [name]Callan[/name] I prefer [name]Callan[/name]
[name]Liev[/name] or [name]Lev[/name]. Same as [name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name] or [name]Lawrence[/name] I like [name]Lawrence[/name]. A Spanish speaker would not say this very easily though.
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name]. [name]Love[/name] [name]Tomas[/name]
[name]Cosmas[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name]. [name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name] ( still not sure which of the many spelling to use) or [name]Desmond[/name]. [name]Demetri[/name] is my favorite with your son
[name]Peter[/name] or [name]Prior[/name]. [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Linus[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name]. I like [name]Linus[/name] but in Spanish this becomes lee-noose. Loses all the attractiveness.
I understand trying to find names easily pronounceable in English and Spanish as it is also my dilemma. [name]IMO[/name] a lot of these names, while awesome, will be butchered in Spanish. I’ve seen it [name]IRL[/name]. You should hear what my grandmother does to my cousins name [name]Joshua[/name] and [name]Brittany[/name]. It’s pretty bad. I know it would bother me to have my family say my child’s name incorrectly. [name]Just[/name] something g to think about.
I dont mind is the pronunciation changes a bit in spanish as long as it remains a nice name… I have to comstantly tell family that is is [name]Josef[/name] not [name]JOSE[/name]… but we compromised with the nn Pep and Pepon!
[name]Blaise[/name] would end up being [name]BLAS[/name], and [name]Liev[/name] and [name]LEv[/name] would have the “b” sound instead of the “v” and as for [name]Linus[/name]… I know But i just love it!
Its so hard with international families!!! ( and one funny comment about [name]Brittany[/name]… a friend of the family has a dog names BRISNEY… i asked why and they said for “Brisney [name]Peers[/name]” ! hahahhaa!)
[name]Blaine[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Liev[/name]
[name]Lawrence[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name] or [name]Desmond[/name]- this one is hard. I think both are nice.
[name]Peter[/name]
[name]Linus[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Liev[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name]
[name]Tomas[/name]
[name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name] or [name]Desmond[/name] - [name]Dimitri[/name] would win over [name]Desmond[/name], but [name]Desmond[/name] over Demitri
[name]Peter[/name]
[name]Lennon[/name]
[name]Blaise[/name] – I like both, but [name]Blaise[/name] is just so distinguished and handsome.
[name]Callum[/name] – I don’t like either, but this one sounds better.
[name]Lev[/name] – I just think it’s easier to pronounce.
[name]Lawrence[/name] – Cool sound, handsome name, [name]Law[/name] and [name]Ren[/name] are awesome nicknames.
[name]Theodore[/name] – Frankly, I’ve met so many [name]Thomas[/name]/[name]Tomas[/name] 's that I’m tired of it. Plus, [name]Theo[/name] is very cool.
[name]Cyrus[/name] – I’ve always loved [name]Cyrus[/name]. It has a connection to Greece, sounds cool and handsome, and has [name]Cy[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name] – I like both, but [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Demetri[/name] (and the spelling [name]Dmitri[/name]). It’s very handsome.
[name]Peter[/name] – [name]Don[/name]'t like either, but this one is easier to pronounce.
[name]Linus[/name] – [name]Linus[/name] has such a sweet sound. I’d love if it made a comeback.
[name]Blaise[/name] - Neither of these sound really manly to me but [name]Blaise[/name] slightly more so.
[name]Callum[/name] - Nice.
[name]Lev[/name] - Clean lines.
[name]Lazarus[/name], far and away, I love it.
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name] - [name]Tomas[/name], but [name]Theodore[/name] is okay too.
[name]Cyrus[/name]. I love [name]Cyrus[/name] so much.
[name]Dmitri[/name], spelt this way. A favourite, but I can’t pull it off.
[name]Prior[/name], not that I love it, but I hate [name]Peter[/name].
[name]Linus[/name] - [name]John[/name] [name]Lennon[/name] peturbs me.
[name]Blaine[/name] (although I don’t really like it, [name]Blaise[/name] just reminds me of Blastoise… the pokemon… o.o)
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Lev[/name]
[name]Lawrence[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Cosmas[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name]
[name]Prior[/name]
[name]Lennon[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name] - [name]Blaise[/name] feels a little too feminine for me
[name]Callum[/name] - love this
[name]Liev[/name]
[name]Lawrence[/name] - can still use nickname Laz if you want
[name]Theodore[/name] - but would prefer [name]Thomas[/name] spelling
[name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Demetri[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] - it’s classic. [name]Prior[/name] reminds me of the word, or of priory.
[name]Linus[/name] - despite the [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Brown[/name] link, I quite like this
[name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name] - personally I prefer [name]Blaine[/name], the name [name]Blaise[/name]/[name]Blaze[/name] doesn’t appeal to me
[name]Callum[/name] or [name]Callan[/name] - I find both to be charming names and have known one of each, both great guys [name]Callan[/name] by a hair
[name]Liev[/name] or [name]Lev[/name] - [name]Liev[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name] or [name]Lawrence[/name] - [name]Lawerence[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name] - I beyond adore both [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name]/[name]Tomas[/name] but I have to go with [name]Theodore[/name] because for some reason I pronounce [name]Tomas[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name] slightly differently, [name]Tomas[/name] as Toe-mas and [name]Thomas[/name] and [name]Thom[/name]-as is that makes sense
[name]Cosmas[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name] - [name]Cyrus[/name], I taught a little boy called [name]Cyrus[/name], he was very sweet, I haven’t heard of the name [name]Cosmas[/name] so that’s why I went with the familiar in this case lol
[name]Demetri[/name] ( still not sure which of the many spelling to use) or [name]Desmond[/name] - [name]Demetri[/name] I really like this name, it’s strong and has character without being overwhelming for a child or too imposing for them to have a personality seperate from the name, not that [name]Desmond[/name] doesn’t offer the same opportunities but [name]Demetri[/name] wins for me
[name]Peter[/name] or [name]Prior[/name] - [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Linus[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name] - [name]Lennon[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name] or [name]Blaise[/name] - [name]Blaine[/name], though I’m not much of a fan of either.
[name]Callum[/name] or [name]Callan[/name] - [name]Callan[/name], as I find [name]Callum[/name] really chavvy.
[name]Liev[/name] or [name]Lev[/name] - [name]Lev[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name] or [name]Lawrence[/name] - [name]Lawrence[/name], I find this handsome and ought to be used more
[name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Tomas[/name] - Prefer [name]Thomas[/name] to [name]Theodore[/name], but [name]Theodore[/name] to [name]Tomas[/name].
[name]Cosmas[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name] - Neither. [name]Cyrus[/name] you would get people thinking you named him after [name]Miley[/name] [name]Cyrus[/name], and [name]Cosmas[/name] just looks made up to me.
[name]Demetri[/name] ( still not sure which of the many spelling to use) or [name]Desmond[/name] - I actually like both, but [name]Dmitri[/name] just edges it.
[name]Peter[/name] or [name]Prior[/name] - [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Linus[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name] - [name]Lennon[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name] ([name]Blaise[/name] sounds like [name]Blaze[/name], which doesn’t seem as “cool” to me as it does to most people)
[name]Callum[/name], though neither are really that appealing to me
[name]Liev[/name]
[name]Lazarus[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Cyrus[/name] (…if I can get past the [name]Miley[/name]/[name]Billy[/name] [name]Ray[/name] association)
[name]Desmond[/name] is one of my favorite names!
[name]Peter[/name] over [name]Prior[/name], but I really don’t like it.
[name]Linus[/name]
