[name]Roxane[/name] is very nice
~[name]Jasmine[/name]
I prefer [name]Roxana[/name]. With [name]Roxane[/name], I just keep hearing that name over and over again on that irritating song by the Police. [name]Roxana[/name] was the wife of [name]Alexander[/name] the Great so it has a long history.
i voted [name]Roxane[/name] but personally i dont like either, [name]Roxanne[/name] along with [name]Jade[/name], [name]Cindy[/name], [name]Krystal[/name] etc are all prostitute names to me! but that is just my association plus the woman who my dad had an affair with so i’m probably extremely biased here! She was all tanned and dyed blonde hair and lots of leapard print and slightly overweight and everytime i hear the name she is all i can think of so maybe i shouldnt have voted or commented at all!
See I am always in the minority because I like [name]Roxane[/name] more than [name]Roxana[/name]. I took it off my list though because the associations with the police song and prostitution. It just seems that it has become synonymous with prostitutes unfortunately. They are both nice names, but I would probably recommend going with [name]Roxana[/name] so people won’t have the immediate associations.
I am beginning to agree with mara_lyn86, [name]Roxane[/name] IS starting to remind me only of prostitution. I like [name]Roxana[/name] but my mind immediately jumps there even with that name. I may simply take both versions off my list. Thank you for the help!
I like [name]Roxanne[/name] the best. I was friends with a [name]Roxy[/name] in my teens, she was tiny and blonde and I never thought of her name as being a prostitutes or of Chicago for that matter.
To me [name]Roxane[/name] would be pronounced ‘rox-ayn’ or ‘rox-arn’ and [name]Roxana[/name] would be ‘rox-ahna’. Mostly it’s because I can’t see ‘[name]Ane[/name]’ and imagine reading ‘[name]Anne[/name]’. [name]Roxann[/name] maybe, but not [name]Roxane[/name].
This exactly.
