Due with #3 [name_u]December[/name_u] !
Our son is [name_m]Robert[/name_m], daughter is [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
Been tossing around a few boys names [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] ( or should it be spelt [name_m]Jonathon[/name_m] ? ), [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
Where im at with each name :
[name_m]Zachary[/name_m] - ends in similar “EE” as [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], would prefer if didn’t sound so matchy with hers … only nickname is [name_m]Zac[/name_m] … ok name, I suggested it because I am looking for a familiar yet not popular name , also somene said to me “ball zac” and that has stuck with me
[name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] - been popular since time began lol, is slowing down. Has nickname possibilities [name_m]Johnny[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] … Used too be one of my favorites, but met hillbilly named [name_m]John[/name_m] that has given me different look, my brother in laws uncle …
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] - is derivative of our last name [name_f]Collett[/name_f], when shortened sounds like [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] … another one of my old favorites, now completely unusable …
im starting to worry I wont find him a name in the next few weeks… and as I look (multiple times daily lately) I have been liking less and less names too
do you like any of these ?
Any comments or suggestions ?
I like [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] with [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. I think [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] would make a nice option as well if you can get past the repeated ending sound, which I don’t think is a big deal. Here are a few more ideas:
What about [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] in place of [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], the ending is different than the -ee sound, but you can still use the nickname [name_m]Zach[/name_m]
Thank you both for your reply… I wish one would just jump out at me, feeling so forced lol … zachariah feels a little amish imo, I know ive tried to cconvince myself it would be an easy way away from rhyming …
(Also, the “ee” , our friends have a new daughter they named ‘[name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]’, we have a nephew named [name_m]Brantley[/name_m] … and I don’t know if I am just being picky, but poor [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] now surrounded by all these “EE” names too
I think all of these are great choices with [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] is my favorite, but [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is a perfect fit.
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] is my favourite, with the adorable nickname [name_u]Nico[/name_u]! [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] follows, with nn [name_m]Zach[/name_m]. [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is okay, but I’ve never really actually liked it.
I would not pick [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] because it ends in the EE sound as [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. I would not pick [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] because it begins with an “N” as [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is fine, but I love the classic name [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and think it would be a perfect fit with [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. I also think there is a better chance of keeping it “[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]” and not shortening to “[name_m]Tom[/name_m],” because it is only two syllables, and [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is three. Good luck with your decision.
Thank you all for your help. ? I feel like I am leaning towards [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m], I do like [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] but the “ee” might be a deal breaker… also, I was writing my older two initials on toy whistles (ugh whistles! What was I thinking lol!!) R and N and noticed the N is a sideways Z lol … we are down to only a few weeks hoping itll click sooner than later! ! My husband picked the first two and says that its up to me for this guy, lol, Im so indecisive!
