This or That?

Thanks people!

I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. My first association is spunky [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u]. I love the nicknames [name_u]Jo[/name_u] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]!! I don’t think I would ever actually use it but it’s such a beautiful name and not overly common. It’s got a very romantic and over the top girly feel (but this is probably why I would never use it!). I also love the nickname [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] :).

I don’t hate [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but I know a [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] who has kind of ruined the name for me. It just feels rather boring and stuck up as a result of this person. That said I do love the name/nickname [name_u]Josie[/name_u]!

[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]! Beautiful name, beautiful meaning, tons of adorable nickname options.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! I love nn [name_u]Josie[/name_u], I love how it sounds and that it’s an established classic with vintage vibes.

My pick would be [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! This was my grandmother’s name, so it’s close to my heart. The name itself reminds me of her - classic, feminine and strong. I also love the nicknames [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_u]Jo[/name_u] and [name_f]Posie[/name_f]. I don’t dislike the name [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but it is rather close to “evangelist,” which can have a variety of connotations.

Thank you for everyone’s opinion so far, please keep it coming, would love to hear from more people =D

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] because I love the literary heritage and the nn’s Sephie, [name_f]Posey[/name_f] and Phina.

I like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] but [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is overdone and I don’t really like the other nn’s. Would only use if nn [name_f]Eve[/name_f] not [name_f]Evie[/name_f].

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] feels stronger and feistier to me, so she gets my vote.

I really love both names, but I have to say, [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], because I think at this point most people are more “used to it” as in they would all be able to pronounce and spell it. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], while gorgeous, has a lot of room for error in pronunciation and spelling making it cumbersome.
