Our girls mn’s are variations of DH’s and I’ mn’s. I know that if we named a dd after one grandmother and not the other it would cause an uproar due to strong personalities. I also think it depends on the person honored/not honored and how they would feel. [name]Both[/name] grandmothers have hinted to the fact that they are upset their names have not been used thus far ([name]MIL[/name] has my 2 girls and my 2 nieces, my mom my girls and one niece) . And as shallow as it sounds, MILs fnis a classic ([name]Katherine[/name]) where as my mothers is too flas in the panfor my taste ([name]Stephanie[/name]). We had a girls combo for this (boy) baby that incorporated parts of their mn’s, because heaven forbid we use a first name on one and a mn of another!
Too much drama for my taste…so thankfully our only girls honored nobody but DH and I.
