So right now I’m having a problem with my signature- there are more boy names in there than girls. This fact is making my OCD explode. (Disclaimer, if you check, I did add [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] to my girl’s list to make it even. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is not set in stone in that spot however. I just couldn’t bear to save my signature with a not even number lol). That’s where you come in. I have 5ish (5 on the “on the brink” list and 3 on the brink of making the “on the brink” list. Lol) names that I like and I want to narrow them down to one or two.
Please give me your thoughts on each name and also if they fit well with the other names in my signature, boys and girls. Thanks!
“On the brink” list:
[name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
On the brink of making the “on the brink” list: [name_f]Reyna[/name_f], [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], and [name_f]Avalon[/name_f]
Well this part is purely subjective of course, but my favorites are [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] more than [name_f]Talia[/name_f], and [name_f]Maya[/name_f] a bit more than [name_f]Maia[/name_f]. But again, personal preference. I also [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], but I don’t really see her fitting with your other names as well. [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] fit well with the spunky diminutive names like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. And I adore the idea of [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] as a sibset. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] fits with all the vintage names - [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u]… So [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] get my votes.
Your list, especially the girls list, gives me a retro, vintage revival feel, but it’s the vintage names that are coming back, like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] fit perfectly, and I would love to see them on there.
[name_f]Nola[/name_f] - I like it, but prefer [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f].
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - One of my favorites, it’s very spunky, cheerful and pretty. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] vintage feel.
[name_f]Talia[/name_f] - Not my style, it makes me think of the word “waist”. I like the connection with muses and art, though ([name_f]Thalia[/name_f]).
[name_f]Maia[/name_f] - I used to like it a lot, I still find it nice. Makes me think of the lovely month of [name_f]May[/name_f].
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] more than [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]. It has a sweet sound and kind of warm, cozy feel.
[name_f]Reyna[/name_f] - [name_f]Raina[/name_f], please? [name_f]Reyna[/name_f] reminds me of the word “reign”.
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] - Slightly prefer the [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] spelling. I like her story, and it’s familiar without being overused.
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] - Arthurian one! Makes a fresh twist on tired [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] the best.
