Nikomedes, [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Merlin[/name_m], [name_m]Orpheus[/name_m], [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_u]Griffin[/name_u], [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u], [name_m]Romeo[/name_m], [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. Thanks, I really like them all and want to have opinions. Not for a baby, for a full grown trans person.
[name_m]Nikomedes[/name_m] -a bold, flowing name with lots of nn possibility
Ignatius - fiery and cool
Merlin -gentle but strong
Orpheus -bold and interesting
Valentine -sleek and stylish
Griffin - rugged and cool
Peregrine-elegant and bright
Romeo - this has a charming, romantic feel
Leonardo - charming and lyrical
Leopold - clunky but cute
Tristan -absolutely beautiful -strong but gentle
Nikomedes- makes me think of ancient Greek scholars but feels usable and fresh. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_u]Niko[/name_u]
Ignatius- a bit stuffy- reminds me of the priests with Latin names
Merlin- one of my guilty pleasure names. It’s definitely the most standout to me as people will immediately think of the character/historical figure but in that way it feels very powerful and magical.
Orpheus- a little spooky, mystical, dreamy and dark.
Valentine- veers between cutesy and strong tbh! It makes me think of [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]’s day which feels a but saccharine but like as name on its own I love the sound and look of it. This one does feel more unisex than your other picks and the nn [name_u]Val[/name_u] even more so.
Griffin- fun, quirky, and strong good nns in [name_m]Griff[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. TBH I think of [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] Mcelroy who is a Good Boy Tm but that colors my impression of what could be more of a mythical name.
Peregrine- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! [name_u]Strong[/name_u] nature and fantasy vibes with a cute and unique but familiar name. I think works well on an adult and kids- Though my fave nn [name_u]Pippin[/name_u] or [name_u]Pip[/name_u] might be too cutesy could also use [name_u]Perry[/name_u], [name_f]Peggy[/name_f], [name_u]Pen[/name_u] etc.
Romeo- This one is forever associated with [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] I think- I feel like it’s become almost a descriptor “oh he’s such a [name_m]Romeo[/name_m]” rather than just a name, It’s too bad because it’s handsome and romantic.
Leonardo- does make me think of [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] Da [name_m]Vinci[/name_m] but that isn’t a bad association. this one feels a bit “older” than griffin, peregrine, valentine, [name_m]Nikomedes[/name_m] and [name_m]Merlin[/name_m] but that’s not a bad thing. It’s got a bit of romance to it as well and great nicknames.
Leopold- [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] of Belgium has unfortunately ruined this name for me!
Tristan- gentle and romantic.
Nikodemus feels gladiator like. [name_u]Strong[/name_u] and archaic.
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] feels scholarly and educated.
[name_m]Merlin[/name_m] makes me think of [name_m]Merlin[/name_m]. Magical.
[name_m]Orpheus[/name_m] strongly makes me think of [name_m]Orpheus[/name_m] and [name_f]Eurydice[/name_f]. Romantic oldie vibe.
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]. [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
[name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] Renaissance style, artistic.
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] Aristocratic vibes, gentlemanly.
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] makes me think of a Cassanova type guy. A bit of a hopeless romantic.
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u] makes me think of regency and the monarch. I’m from the UK and it makes me think of the flag.
[name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] makes me think of the bird.
