What do you think of the name Tehani for a little girl?
Here’s what I know about the name:
It’s of Tahitian origin, means “the sweet caress of flowers” or “loved one,” and can be pronounced as tay-ha-nee or teh-ha-nee.
I personally prefer and would use the teh-ha-nee pronunciation.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would age well?
Does it fit in a [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand European + Polynesian family? …as a [hypothetical] sister to [name_f]Siena[/name_f]?
Any middle name suggestions?
Tehani -I really like and think its good with [name_f]Siena[/name_f]. I’m in Australia -we are used to Maori, Polynesian names. Many families and friends have heritage similar to yours. No reason I see from my limited experience that it would not age well. [name_f]Hani[/name_f] could be a lovely nickname if you were wanting another idea. It is such a beautiful name, I love saying Tehani.
I agree with the PP who suggests a middle similar to [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I am not sure that is what you were wanting though.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] & [name_f]Grace[/name_f], I like
