I love the name [name_f]Lilou[/name_f], but not sure if I should spell Lilu instead?
We have chosen it as a nod to my to sisters [name_f]Erin[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]’, so Lilu kind of makes sense, but does spelling it [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] look better written down?
The middle names are for the grand mothers [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Carrie[/name_f]’ and [name_f]Christine[/name_f].
I am not sure if best to go with [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], or shorten to [name_f]Cara[/name_f]
So Lilu [name_f]Cara[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lilou[/name_f])
or Lilu [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lilou[/name_f])
She can also take NN [name_f]Cece[/name_f], [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] or [name_f]Cara[/name_f]… ?
Is [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] too nicknamey to have as an adult?
Oh, I love Lilu! I don’t think you’ll have any pronunciation troubles, either way (Lilu vs. [name_f]Lilou[/name_f]).
My vote goes for Lilu [name_f]Cara[/name_f]. Lilu [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] feels like a bit of a mouthful, and the repeated “ee” sound between [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] and [name_f]Christine[/name_f] is heavier.
Such a sweet name!
I think [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] looks a bit more complete and established, and I don’t see why it would cause any pronunciation trouble. Very cute name!
[name_f]Lilou[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] gets my vote.
