I’m still not sold that we have a girls name for this Halloween surprise.
Big sister is [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Emma[/name] [name]Midnight[/name].
I’m not too concnered with mn’s because I have a few that I’d be happy with in the mn spot but i’m unsure of fn.
Current list (* are more likely and bottom 3 are just some that I like but probably not going with)
[name]Lauryn[/name]*
[name]Waverly[/name]*
[name]Luna[/name]*
[name]Natalia[/name] / [name]Talia[/name] *
[name]Violet[/name]*
[name]Aliyah[/name]*
[name]Naya[/name]
[name]Halston[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name]
Loved [name]Piper[/name] but took it off the list because it won’t work with our last name because it ends up sounding like a cartoon character. So… what do you think of the names above? Thoughts on these or suggestions?
Am trying to avoid top 50 names.
Other suggestions for you:
[name]Thea[/name]
[name]Lilah[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Viola[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Everly[/name]
And because big sister’s name is unisex, here are some suggestions that might compliment her name:
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Morgan[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Meredith[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]How[/name] do you feel about a name like [name]Emerson[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Luna[/name] nn [name]Emmy[/name]? It follows the same format as your other daughter’s name: traditionally male first name, classic and feminine second name, and adventurous third name following the “night” theme.
[name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name]… [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Emmy[/name].
[name]Violet[/name], [name]Luna[/name] & [name]Natalia[/name] are beautiful names. I prefer [name]Laurel[/name] or [name]Lauren[/name] (this spelling) over [name]Lauryn[/name].
Like raqkel, I think a unisex or more surnamey first would work best with [name]Charlie[/name]'s name. [name]Halston[/name] and [name]Sloane[/name] sound great with [name]Charlie[/name] [name]IMO[/name] (I think [name]Piper[/name] would have been awesome, so it’s a shame about the last name thing). [name]Violet[/name], [name]Luna[/name], and [name]Natalia[/name] are pretty, but I feel like jar a little with her sister’s name and would be beautiful in the middle. [name]Halston[/name] [name]Natalia[/name] [name]Snow[/name] (I like that you could use nn [name]Hallie[/name]) or [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Violet[/name] Morrow would be fit beautifully with [name]Charlie[/name]. [name]Waverly[/name] would work nicely with [name]Charlie[/name], too, though I don’t love that they share the same ending sound. I also think that these would be sweet:
[name]Winslow[/name] nn [name]Winnie[/name] or [name]Lola[/name]
[name]Maren[/name] or [name]Maret[/name]/[name]Merritt[/name]
[name]Camden[/name]
[name]Anniston[/name]
[name]Leighton[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Larkin[/name] nn [name]Lark[/name]
[name]Marlow[/name] (nn [name]Marley[/name]?) or [name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Shea[/name]
Meridian
[name]Ellison[/name]
[name]Emery[/name]
You’ve got a lot of great names on your list! I can’t help but mention [name]October[/name] though. I don’t know how you feel about month names or what you think of using the month in which your daughter is born, but I think it’s a nice tie-in with the season and plus you would have the great nn of [name]Toby[/name]! [name]How[/name] cute are [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Toby[/name] together?
Thanks for some great suggestions and feedback on the names! I will show this post to DH too to see if anything sparks for him.
I’m surprised how many like [name]Luna[/name]. Also surprised how many people think that another unisex-type name would be ok! I thought that 2 little girls with ambiguous names would feel like ‘trying too hard’. I love [name]Ryan[/name] for a little girl but we ruled it out thinking that we can’t have 2 girls with traditional boy names. Perhaps there is something that would work for a nn of [name]Ryan[/name]?
I’m drawing a blank for a name with the nn [name]Ryan[/name]…Maybe something like [name]Arianna[/name]? That might be a stretch.
Anyway, do you like the nn [name]Rye[/name]? I think it’s cute, and would sound nice with [name]Charlie[/name]. Maybe [name]Mariah[/name]/[name]Moriah[/name] nn [name]Rye[/name]?
