I have done post like these before… Im trying tofind new names to love! Im not expecting, just a name lover!
I have french origin ([name_f]France[/name_f]), and Scottish origins. Those are the ones I know of… I have a english side of family, and a french side. Now living in the french province of [name_f]Canada[/name_f] ([name_m]Quebec[/name_m]), my future child would need to have a french name, that isn’t too complitated to translate.
I like names that are classic, but not overused. I am not a fan of names ending in a. A name that would fit a baby, and a older lady. I always picture the name of the marriage certificate…
I will reply to comments, saying my thoughts about each name!
Here a few I currently like. (I have not included names I included in previous posts. Only one)
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] (my great-grandmother’s name. I would love to honour a family member! I am not a fan of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].)
[name_f]Blanche[/name_f] (When talking about this one with other people, they weren’t in love as much as I am)
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] (I love the meaning. I am not a fan of [name_f]Daphnee[/name_f])
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (A little too popular?)
I absolutely love love [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! Gorgeous!!! A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
The olive tree is just beautiful and I love the meaning behind it…the [name_f]Olive[/name_f] tree is a symbol of peace, success, and abundance…grow and flourish in rocky soils where other plants cannot and I love the vintage, spunky, nature vibe to the name. It’s so charming. I think it’s a name that is so sweet for a child and beautiful for an adult. What a great way to honor a loved one!!!
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is my favourite. It has a beautiful sound and I adore the meaning, since dolphins are my favourite animals. I really like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] too. I checked the [name_m]Quebec[/name_m] stats and it didn’t appear to be ranked in the Top 100 in 2015 (or maybe I’m reading it wrong?). [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is also very sweet. I don’t mind [name_f]Blanche[/name_f] in [name_m]French[/name_m] but the English pronunciation doesn’t really appeal to me.
I love [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]. We almost used it for our daughter. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is also a great choice. I don’t care for [name_f]Olive[/name_f] or [name_f]Blanche[/name_f].
