Thoughts and suggestions

Thoughts on this combos, be honest, be helpful. List is long, comment what you wish. Also open to suggestion, but I’m bit picky, which you would never guess based on my list. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t really mind about popularity, since unusual middles do wonders.

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] - love [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], not so keen on [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]. I don’t think I like both names together as they seem like a clash in style.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian - This one is really nice, both names go together well and in my opinion, it has a nice flow.
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - This combo is probably my favourite on the whole list.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - This name combo is gorgeous, love it!
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but don’t like Melusina. It sounds too much like an illness to me
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] - Not my favourite, but the combo is okay.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] - This is a nice name combo.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - I like this one a lot. The names work really well together.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur - This name is definitely a mouthful, and friends as school would give her nicknames straight away. It does have quite a sophisticated tone to it, though.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - love both names, but I don’t think they go together that well.
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - Not keen on this one. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t particularly like either of the names, and I like them even less together.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f] - I’m not so sure I like [name_f]Saga[/name_f], or the way it sounds with [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. It’s not bad, it just doesn’t sound particularly great to me.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - This is quite a nice combination, it flows off the tongue and feels surprisingly fresh.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - both of these names are really gorgeous!

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] - Both names are cool, but I’m not sure if they “go” together.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian - I can’t make the “ll” noise in Welsh, so it would be difficult to pronounce Gwenllian.
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - Super cute!
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - I like this one too; the only thing is the R noises being relatively close together, but even that isn’t a big deal.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina - Pretty.
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] - NMS.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] - I feel like these almost clash, but not quite.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - Super cute!
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur - Blanchefleur is so… extra. I speak [name_m]French[/name_m], so I know it’s a direct translation of “white flower” (though it would be Fleurblanche if we’re being honest.) I love [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], though. Maybe try a name that means “white flower” or “white” ?
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - I like both names, and I feel like they flow decently.
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - Cute! Zlata would be difficult to translate to the U.S. though, people are weird about Eastern European names.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f] - This sounds like a book title! I kinda like it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - I feel like they’re a little mismatched, but they still work.

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]- agree with pp… [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is perfectly lovely but [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] is a little out there (unless it has special meaning to you)
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian- I dig [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], not so much the middle (together it reminds me of a mix of [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] and Middle English characters)
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]-I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] is beautiful
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]- not a fan
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina- Melusina isn’t my fave but it works
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]- makes me think of kerosene
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]- I like both names but culturally they don’t jive
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f]- nms
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur- love [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] but the middle is a little too fairytale for me
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]- pretty
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]-nms
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f]- nms
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]- cute
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]- cute

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] - [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is lovely, but i feel like it is mismatched with [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]. The clash too much for me.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian - Beautiful combo. Might be my favorite on your list.
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - It’s cute, but not my style. I think [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] is just a little too insubstantial/
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - The flow of this one feels off. Too much R.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina - [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is lovely. Not crazy about Melusina
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] - I like it, but I don’t ove it.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] - Cute. SLightly mismatched, but I actually don’t mind it.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - Not a fan of these together.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur - Blancefleur is just too much [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] or [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Blanch[/name_f] would be much better.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is beautiful, but I don’t like it paired with [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] at all. It sucks all the life out of it.
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - I don’t think these flow well together.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f] - I love unexpected word names paired with classics and while [name_f]Saga[/name_f] isn’t a name I would typically gravitate towards I think it works.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - This name just sounds overly sing-songy to me.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - Cute. I like it.

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] - I dont like the Gis- sound of [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], it makes it sound too strong imo. [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] is really pretty but lets hope her classmates dont make fun of her for the last 2 syllables
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian - Sounds a little too snobby as a combo? Like the kind of name youd hear in a disney movie with princesses. I think both names are really pretty on their own though
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - I dislike [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], it makes me think of an old lady. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is okay
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this! [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is one of my favorite names- I’m currently looking for what to pair it with to put it on my own signature. [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] is adorable and elegant, so adorable with [name_f]Flora[/name_f]!
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina - I love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] but I dont like the sound of Melusina. Paired with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] its not too much as it would be as a first name though. Have you considered [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Melina[/name_f]?
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] - Sounds too much like saying a lane [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]. [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] is a little too out there too
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] - Pretty! I think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is adorable but [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is way too dated for me
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - I like both names a lot. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is charming and [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] is on my own list, a fun name with a more elegant yet adorable and playful name
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur - Yeah, no. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] on itself is too much, and I could never see Blanchefleur being used on a real person. Unless you were trying to name a [name_f]Queen[/name_f] in some fantasy novel that is
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - Adorable! [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is another name I love, fresh and adorable with a lovely meaning. [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] im not a huge fan of but I still like it and its nicknames
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - I dislike Zlata, it sounds ugly to me. [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] is okay, but as a Greek I prefer its cousins theodora and theodosia.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f] - Sounds like a book title. I find [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] way too common. [name_f]Saga[/name_f] is pretty, its just hard to make a good combo out of it imo
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - Another too princess-y name but I guess this one is usable. Both names are not my style
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] makes me think of an old lady but I love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], really cute and sweet

My faves in bold:

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] - [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is nice; [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] is too over the top for me
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian - love [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] as a fn?
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - love this combo!
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina - love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t love the sound of Melusina. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Melissande[/name_f]?
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] - not a fan
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] - doesn’t feel as special
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - love this, but maybe with a different mn
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur - not my style. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] as a mn would be fab
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - love this
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as a fn?
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f] - really don’t like this
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - like it. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] as a fn?

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]–I think it works but feels a bit frilly and fictitious to me. Neither name feels really grounded.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian–Gwenllian is a bit too made-up for me.
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]–I like [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] and I like the flow. It’s really wearable.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]–While [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] is unfamiliar, I think this works.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina–I love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. Is Melusina a place name? I feel like this works IF there is a significant importance to Melusina, but not on sound alone.
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]–While I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], this seems like a well-formed name.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]–I’m not really a fan of either name so this would be a hard sell for me anyways. But I also don’t think the names work really well together.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f]–[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is okay. [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] reminds me too much of “elixir”.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur–[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. ‘Cress’ sounds really fresh. Blanchefleur weighs it down. There is too much happening with both names combined. I’d go with a shorter, simpler middle here, something that packs more into fewer sounds, like [name_f]Saga[/name_f] (but not [name_f]Saga[/name_f]). Of your middles, [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] might work here since it still shares the ‘r’ and ‘s’ sounds but uses other vowel sounds so isn’t adding too much more complexity.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]–I like both names, just not together. They styles are just too different to me.
Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]–I like [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] a lot. I’d switch [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] and Zlata though–I’m hearing her teased as “Flata Zlata”.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f]–[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is one of my favorite names and [name_f]Saga[/name_f] adds even more weight to it. Very epic.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]–This seems very romantic.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]–[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], really don’t like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. But they do work together, so I’d keep this on your list.

Overall, my favorite first names: [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].

My favorite combos: [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f], and [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f]. And, if you’re up for switches, [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f].

[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f]-[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is pretty, although for me it sounds a little dated (not sure why). [name_f]Nefertiti[/name_f] I’ve never considered as a name but I like it. It spunks up [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] while having a great historical connection

[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Gwenllian-[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is adorable and romantic sounding, with great nn options ([name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_u]Jet[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f]). Gwenllian is really cute and I like it, although I prefer [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]

[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]-I’m not on that trend where nn names are used as full names, so I prefer [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] as a nn. However, it is cute and should have a comeback. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is nice but I always hear it was [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] with a stuffed up nose.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]-[name_f]Flora[/name_f] is gorgeous! One of my recent favorites. [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] has the beginning of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and the ending wen which I love!

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] Melusina-[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is classic and sweet. And [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is adorable. Melusina is nms

[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]-[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] seems very dated to me. I prefer [name_f]Elena[/name_f], or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] or [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] is nms

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]-love this! [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is sweet and underused now, and feels fresh again to me. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is spunky and makes [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] feel more lively

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Eliska[/name_f]-I love phoebe. Its adorable! [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] is interesting and makes phoebe more unique

[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Blanchefleur-[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is pretty and underused. I’m not a fan of Blanchefleur, but the individual names are fine. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Blanche[/name_f] reminds me of Casa [name_f]Blanca[/name_f], but [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] is very pretty

[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]-[name_f]Freya[/name_f] is amazing. I grew up with a [name_f]Freya[/name_f], and it’s pretty and unique and has mythological connections! [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] is due for a comeback and grounds [name_f]Freya[/name_f]

Zlata [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]-zlata is nms. I agree with pp that [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] is due for a comeback as a first name! [name_u]Dory[/name_u]? [name_f]Dot[/name_f]? [name_f]Thea[/name_f]? What’s not to like

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Saga[/name_f]-[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is a bit too boring for me, although a lovely name. [name_f]Saga[/name_f] just doesn’t do enough to liven it up here and just seems out of place

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]-love this! [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is a gp of mine, only because of the popularity. [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] is adorable and this is a great solution to Isabellas over popularity!

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]-love this. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is so sweet and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is spunky and…well…happy!
